The invention relates to a sheet metal vessel with a special one
Bottom ring and a bottom part connected to a shell part.
It is particularly important that the container is inside
have as smooth a surface as possible, so that the side walls and the
Soil can be easily cleaned and the risk of pitting is avoided
svird. For this purpose it is advantageous to use the vessels with rounded bottom corners
instead of making sharp angles, which is the pressing of a special bottom part
presupposes that is to be prevented with the shell part and the bottom ring. The invention
aims at a simple, strong and at the same time cheap connection of the three parts
to enable, namely that the lower edge of the shell part and the upper
Edge of the bottom part with the ol) er edge of the bottom ring by means of a single,
are extended all around the welding joint. l) he invention is in the drawing
schematically explained in more detail where FIGS. 1 and 2 show two exemplary embodiments of a part
represent a vessel in cross section. The bottom part 1 can by means of a press
manufactured or in a lathe to the form illustrated in the drawing
are driven, after which the flange 2 is cut so that only one piece
protrudes over the end face of the base ring 3. The jacket 4 lies against the bottom part
1 close together, and a single weld joint 6 means that all three parts are firmly attached to one another
tied together. Since the end face of the bottom ring 3 forms an angle with the jacket 4,
the weld joint receives a very advantageous position in this angle, and the formed
The fillet weld joint is therefore both strong and tight
be carried out that it covers the flange 2 entirely or for the most part. Since this
Flange 2 rests on lem ring 3, which in turn forms a cylindrical part of the bottom
tightly encloses, the ring 3 forms a strong, the entire vessel supporting base.
According to Fig. 2, the lower edge of the jacket 4 is bent over, so
that an outwardly protruding flange 5 is formed, which is preferably somewhat shorter
than the flange 2 can be. The two flanges can be in whole or in part
be covered by the welding material.
B. 2 bzw. The bottom part can be made of somewhat thicker sheet metal than the jacket
be e.g. B. 2 or
nach der Herstellung des Gefäßes galvanisiert werden.1.5 mm, and the vessel and thus also the weld joint can be advantageous
electroplated after the vessel has been made.
