sehr wichtig, daß die Falznaht gut nachprüfbar ist, damit nicht durch zurückbleibende
Säurereste eine sich erst später zeigende Zerstörung einsetzt. Der durch die Falzung
gebildete Aufstelllranz liegt in der Regel in Richtung der Zarge oder des Mantels
oder greift auch über ihn hinaus. Das Gefäß ist dadurch außen vom Boden an bis zum

(Abb. 3) oder auch wulstförmig ausgebuchtet, wie bei e in Abb. q. angegeben. Schließlich
läßt sich der Falzsteg auch noch nach Bedarf verstärken, z. B. durch Einlegen eines
Ringes f (Abb. 5). Auch könnte in Verbindung damit die Wannenecke durch Einlegen
eines Profilkranzes g verstärkt werden, der mit seinem äußeren Steg g' um die Wannenzarge
a hochgezogen und an dieser z. B. mit einer Sicke h verbunden ist (Abb. 6), so daß
