Der Profilrahmen 7 ist ein T-, U- oder Z-Profil aus Metall, Leichtmetall oder Preßstoff und stellt den Träger und die Fassung für die zweite Glasscheibe 9 dar, die mit Glashalter in Kitt oder Glasleisten 9' in diesen eingelegt ist. Zur besseren Haftung des Kittes ist das Profil 7 mit einem Vorsprung (einer sog. Nase) gezogen.
