For connecting grease guns and other lubricating devices, in particular
from screw presses, it was common to use the well-known steel wire hoses.
In their place you have, since these can withstand the pressure loads of over 100 Atm. not
enough, steel hoses are used, but on the one hand a lot of turned parts
require and are therefore very expensive, on the other hand, because the seals by means of
small leather cuffs takes place under the extraordinarily high pressure loads
often fail. A major disadvantage of these steel link hoses is that they. under
Put pressure on, lose your flexibility.
abzuheben.Although it has been suggested to limit the need for
Turned parts to use pipe pieces and instead of leather sleeves for sealing
Use rubber sleeves to avoid the large surface pressure. Will the pipe pieces
provided with ball heads, these must be held together by screwing,
while the flexibility is considerably reduced by the rubber seal
will. By compressing the seal when assembling this screw connection
The rubber sleeve often wedges itself into the joint bracket. In addition, the rubber seal must
can already be used with a high preload so that a tight seal occurs,
because after pressurizing these joints, the pressure tends to affect the spherical heads
to be removed from each other in the known constructions, i.e. from the seal
take off.
According to the invention, turned parts are to be used in the * new steel link hose
fall away at all. Double-headed ball pins are used to connect the pipe sections
applied, which are firmly connected to one another by beading and by inlaid
Sealing washers are sealed.

a, b und c.
Sechskantstopfens erfolgen. In Fig. I the steel link hose consists of tubes a, b and c. The tube a carries the sliding coupling. The tube c is used to connect the screw press. Double-headed ball pins d are used between the pipe ends to be connected. On each of the ball studs on the inside there is a sealing washer, e.g. B. the rubber seal e, which is pressed by spring f on the ball. The tubes receive a bead s at certain distances from the open ends, on which the spring is supported, namely an iron disk g is inserted on both sides of the spring between the bead and rubber washer, so that the spring f lies between two metal disks and the Sealing washer e is covered by a metal washer g. If these parts d, e, f, g are inserted into the pipe ends, the two pipe ends are brought closer together and fixed at a certain distance using the bead s on both sides, so that the flanging of the two pipe ends can always be carried out precisely. As soon as the supply line pressure reaches the joint connection, the spring pressure is increased in accordance with this supply line pressure. This design of the joints is extremely durable. Experiments have shown that (let the articulated connection work reliably even at pressures above 1200 atmospheres and the ball or the flange do not give way. This steel link hose is not only a replacement, but a significant improvement of the hose constructions used up to now. During, as already was carried out, the articulation of the older seals is reduced by almost 70%, (read not the case here. The inserted iron washers ensure that the pressure is applied to the seals as evenly as possible and a relatively small sealing surface comes to rest. Every screw connection falls Continued here, the connection to the screw press can also be made without the use of a hexagonal plug.
