Description

Das Hauptpatent 643 472 hat eine Rohrkupplung für flanschenlose Rohre zum Gegenstand, bei der die Rohre durch von einer Überwurfmuffe getragene und -exzentrische Klemmkörper in die Überwurfmuffe hineingezogen werden,, wobei eine zwischen die Rohrenden einzulagernde Dichtung unter Pressung gesetzt wird. Eine solche Rohrverbindung ist starr und gewährt keine Beweglichkeit der Rohrenden im Sinne einer Winkelschwingung. Diese Winkelbewegung soll durch die Erfindung für Einrichtungen nach dem Hauptpatent möglich gemacht werden. Zu diesem Zwecke ist die Muffe in zwei Teile geteilt, und die Teile haben kugelig ausgestaltete Enden, mit denen sie sich übergreifen. So wie die Muffe ist auch die Dichtung in. zwei Teile geteilt. Der eine Teil ist fest in einem Muffenteil verlagert und steht unter Druck und Gegendruck zwischen dem einen Rohrende und dem einen Muffenteil. Der andere Teil der Dichtung liegt dagegen in der kugelig gestalteten Höhlung und wird von dem andern Rohrende mittels der Exzenter unter Druck genommen, derart, daß beide Muffenteile als Widerlager dienen, daß also Abdichtung zwischen beiden Muffenteilen erreicht wird.The main patent 643 472 relates to a pipe coupling for flangeless pipes in which the pipes are drawn into the coupling sleeve by clamping bodies carried and eccentric by a coupling sleeve, whereby a seal to be stored between the pipe ends is placed under pressure.
