Claims (10)

  1. IOMEGA CORPORATION EP - 98 100 977.2

    Patentansprüche
    Kassette für ein Laufwerk, in dem Lese-/Schreibköpfe Daten von einem Aufnahmemedium lesen bzw. darauf aufzeichnen, mit
    einem Gehäuse;
    einem Aufnahmemedium in dem Gehäuse, wobei das Gehäuse eine Öffnung für den Zugang der Lese-/Schreibköpfe zu dem Aufnahmemedium hat;
    einer Tür (23), die die Öffnung bedeckt, wenn die Kassette aus dem Laufwerk entfernt ist, und einer Klemmvorrichtung, die beim Öffnen und Schließen der Tür betätigt wird, um das Medium festzustellen, wenn die Tür geschlossen ist, und das Medium zum Drehen freizusetzen, wenn die Tür geöffnet ist,
  2. 2. Kassette nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Klemmvorrichtung eine Nocke aufweist, die sich auf der gleichen Achse wie das Aufnahmemedium drehen kann,
    wobei die Nocke eine Fläche aufweist, die sich axial erstreckt, um das Medium festzuklemmen, wenn sich die Nocke dreht.
  3. 3. Kassette nach Anspruch 2, die weiterhin einen verschiebenden Nockenfolger aufweist, der axial von der Nocke bewegt wird, um das Medium gegen eine Wand des Gehäuses zu klemmen.
  4. 4. Kassette nach Anspruch 2, bei der die Nocke mit der Tür verbunden ist, um die Nocke zu drehen, wenn die Tür sich zwischen der offenen und geschlossenen Position hin und her bewegt.
  5. 5. Kassette nach Anspruch 4, bei der die Nocke durch einen Aktuatordraht mit der Tür verbunden ist, der eine Federkupplung bereitstellt, die es erlaubt, daß die Tür über beide Enden des Gleitweges hinausfährt.
  6. 6. Aktuator nach Anspruch 5, bei dem die Tür in Führungen gleitet und bei dem die Federkupplung Toleranzen bereitstellt für relative Änderungen des Abstands zwischen der Klemmvorrichtung und dem Punkt, wo der Draht der Federkupplung an der Gleittür befestigt ist, während die Tür ihren Gleitweg zurücklegt.
  7. 7. Kassette nach Anspruch 3, die weiterhin eine Nabe aufweist, auf der das Aufnahmemedium gelagert ist, wobei der Nockenfolger eine axiale Kraft auf die Nabe ausübt, um das Medium gegen eine ebene Wand des Gehäuses zu klemmen.
  8. 8. Kassette nach Anspruch 7, die weiterhin eine Rückholfeder aufweist, die koaxial mit der Nabe angeordnet ist, wobei die Rückholfeder eine Spannung auf die Nabe ausübt, um sie zurückzuholen, nachdem sie von dem Nockenfolger verschoben wurde.
  9. 9. Kassette nach Anspruch 8, bei der sich die Fläche der Nocke axial als Funktion des Umfangs der Nocke in Richtung der ebenen Wand der Kassette erstreckt, wobei die Nocke die Nabe und die daran befestigte Platte gegen die ebene Wand zwingt, wenn die Tür in der geschlossenen Position ist, und wobei die Rückholfeder die Nabe von der ebenen Wand weg zwingt, wenn die Tür in die offene Position bewegt wird.
  10. 10. Kassette nach Anspruch 8, bei der die Nabe in ihrem Zentrum einen Hohlraum umfaßt und bei der sich der Klemmechanismus der vorliegenden Erfindung in dem Hohlraum befindet.
