Process for the production of synthetic viscose threads 1n of the Viscosckuilstseidcniiidtisti-ie
For years, the need for artificial threads has emerged more and more
to give sot @ ohl the greatest possible strength in the dry as well as in the wet state.
In the originally customary procedures, one also uses the principle of strong
Making stretching in a technically useful manner usable for production

a further increase could be achieved, but this often resulted
insofar as inconveniences and insecurities, because sometimes only minor ones
Changes in the test conditions, the results turned out to be very variable. the
Technology could therefore not produce any real production based on such variable results
Achieving high and highest strength values for viscose artificial threads. so
however, certain branches of industry require artificial threads made of viscose with strengths
greater than 4.59 per denier; a requirement that when applying the previously known
Process in a technically useful manner cannot be fulfilled for the reasons given above
had to stay.
It has now been found that with absolute certainty Viscosekunstfäden with Festigkeitcn of 5 9 per denier and can produce thereby when preparing a viscose from a refined pulp with at least 940 / o a-cellulose content or linters, the ratio of alkali to Cellulose is at least 1: 2, for example 8% alkali and 6.5% cellulose, and which, as a result of short pre-ripening, has a degree of polymerization of more than 50o if possible, but not less than 450 and a value of about 44, which then results in a 90o precipitation bath up to 1 oio g'1 sulfuric acid at a temperature not exceeding 2 (# threads with a titer of 0.5 to a maximum of 1.5 are spun in a manner known per se with vigorous drawing and then washed, treated and dried.
Unless one of the precisely characterized and claimed working method
deviates, you will succeed in reaching the required goal. The strength values
inevitably, sometimes very significantly, below the amount of 5 g per denier
from as soon as one has a higher titer than 1.5 den. spins; even with a titer of
less than 0.5 den. the attempt at a technically viable production remains unsuccessful.
For example, if the conditions remain the same, only the bath concentration is changed
so far that it no longer falls within the prescribed limits, then reached
the desired strengths are no longer achieved, the same applies if the values are exceeded
the bath temperature of a maximum of 21. The situation is similar with the degree of polymerization
and the 7 value, the magnitude of which corresponds to the requirements of the patent claim
must be adhered to. A sirre-qua non is the use of a highly refined one
Cellulose or linters and the coordination of the alkaline content with the cellulose content
in the viscose.
