Die durch das Patent Nr. 60666 geschützte Zugverminderungsvorrichtung ist dahin abgeändert, dafs der Kanal c nicht seitlich am Feuerkörper, sondern auf der vorderen Seite desselben und über der Feuerthür i angebracht ist, und zwar so, dafs derselbe nach unten auf einen Vorbau h der Feuerthür mündet und der im Patent Nr. 60666 mit α bezeichnete Schieber direct auf die Einmündungsöffnung des Kanals in den Vorbau gelegt wird. Hierdurch wird nicht nur alle durch etwaige Undichtigkeiten der Feuerthür eintretende Luft bei geöffnetem Schieber direct abgefangen und in den Kanal c geleitet, bevor sie überhaupt in den Feuerkörper selbst eintreten kann, sondern es ist auch Gelegenheit gegeben, einer falschen Behandlung des Schiebers α vorzubeugen, indem man denselben mit der Feuerthür i in der Weise verbindet, dafs beim Schliefsen der Feuerthür sich der Schieber öffnet und beim Oeffhen der Feuerthür sich der Schieber schliefst. Dies wird erreicht, indem der Feuerthür aufser ihrer Drehbarkeit um den Bolzen k noch eine seitliche Beweglichkeit gegeben wird, mittelst welcher die Zuführung der Verbrennungsluft unter den Rost geregelt wird und der Schieber α durch Vermittelung eines an demselben angebrachten Armes /, welcher zwischen zwei Knaggen der Thür um den Drehbolzen fafst, von letzterer mitgenommen wird. Die Oeffnungen des Schiebers sind so angeordnet, dafs. durch Schliefsen der Thür der Schieber geöffnet wird, und umgekehrt.
