PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.

Auf beiliegender Zeichnung ist eine Verschlufsvorrichtung für den Gebläseluftkanal an Schmiedefeuern dargestellt, welche selbstthätig, sowie auch durch den Fufs geöffnet wird. Die Gebläseluft wird durch ein beliebig anzuordnendes Rohr r bezw. einen Kanal zugeleitet; dieses ist in der Regel durch ein Ventil oder einen Hahn verschlossen, Der Hebel h desselben ist durch eine mit einem Gewichte g versehene Stange 5 mit einem Fufshebel^ verbunden. Wird ein Druck auf den Tritthebel ausgeübt, so findet das Oeffnen des Hahnes und der Eintritt . der Gebläseluft in das Schmiedefeuer statt. Die Stange s ist zweitheilig und kann so in dem Gewichte g angeordnet werden, dafs. sie verkürzt oder verlängert werden kann; das Gewicht könnte jedoch auch durch eine Feder ersetzt werden. Mit dem Fufshebel f ist gleichzeitig eine Stange t verbunden, welche bis über die Herdplatte reicht. Das obere Ende derselben befindet sich vor oder neben dem Feuer und trägt zweckmäfsig eine Platte p. Wird nun das Schmiedestück in das Feuer gelegt, so ruht der hintere Theil desselben bezw. die Zange auf dem oberen Theil der Stange t bezw. auf der Platte ρ, und dadurch findet das Niederdrücken der Stange if und das selbstthätige Oeffnen des Hahnes statt, so dafs ohne weiteres, so lange das Schmiedestück im Feuer gehalten wird, die Gebläseluft in dasselbe eintritt. Die Stange t ist ebenfalls zweitheilig angeordnet; und die beiden Theile, wovon der eine oder der andere oder welche beide mit einem eine Schraube b aufnehmenden Schlitze c versehen sind, können an einander verstellt, bezw. der obere Theil kann durch Lösen der Schraube b frei gestellt und niedergelassen werden, so dafs die Platte ρ auf dem Herde ruhen bleibt, und das Oeffnen der Abschlufsvorrichtung erfolgt dann nicht mehr selbstthätig, sondern es wird durch den Fufshebel bewirkt.The accompanying drawing shows a locking device for the blower air duct on forge fires, which is opened automatically as well as by the foot.
