Des weiteren ist es zweckmäßig, zur Erzielung eines glatten Überganges zwischen zwei benachbarten Isolierverbundplatten und zur Verhinderung von Zugspannungen jeweils die der benachbarten Isolierverbundplatte zugewandte Außenkante mit einer gepreßten oder gefräßten Vert;sfung zu versehen, wobei die Deckplatte gegenüber der Hartschaumplatte geringfügig zurückversetzt ist, und diese Vertiefung mittels Gips auszugleichen und durch einen eingelegten Gazestreifen zu bewehren. Neben dem hohen Wärmeschutz, der durch die Hartschaumplatte gegeben ist, besitzt die Isolierverbundplatte den Vorteil der schweren Entflammbarkeit ihrer Materialien. Darüber hinaus dient die freie Oberfläche der Deckplatte unmittelbar als tapezierfähiger Untergrund.
