PATENTSCHRIFTPATENT LETTERING
KLASSE 82: Trockenvorrichtungen.CLASS 82: Drying devices.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 10. Januar 1893 ab.Patented in the German Empire on January 10, 1893.
The previously known apparatus for drying or cooling powdery or granular Materials suffer more or less from the disadvantage that they in the dry material its individual components too little with the drying or cooling air flow bring into contact. In particular, when using dormant hordes of the Air flow only the lower and partly only the upper layer of the material to be dried. One has hence the hordes, e.g. B. in malt kilns, · hung at an incline and opens up the dry goods slide down them, shaking movements imparted to this slide down by the hordes supports. Here, too, the dry material is turned even when it is used of stages, screw conveyors and the like. Only imperfect, since z. B. Material of high moisture content is only transported.
In order to avoid these disadvantages, in the present apparatus the material on the lower end of inclined, flat hordes, open at the top, spread out, Which. Receive a fast back and forth movement by eccentric or crank drive and are mounted in such a way that when they move forward they have an ascending and Describe a descending path when moving backwards. The stacked dry material takes part in the forward movement of the horde, while it moves backward However, if it flies a little further due to its persistence, it is turned or. loosened up and so gradually reaches the higher end of the horde in order to another to fall.
The movement of the dry material is therefore a hopping, slowly increasing direction the vibrating horde advancing and gives the oncoming stream of air the opportunity to to come into contact with every single particle.
The drawing shows such an apparatus by means of Fig. 1 in outline, Fig. Ia in outline and Fig. Ib in side view. Figs. 2, 2 a and 2 b show in Aufrifs, Grundrifs respectively. Side view a constructive modification of the apparatus, while in Fig. 3 and 4 also a change in the air supply is shown. Figure 5 illustrates the movement the hordes. In Figs. 6, 6 a and 6 b, an apparatus of the present type with tiered Shown above one another lying vibrating hordes.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, 1 a and 1 b, the Rüttelhorden 1, 3 and 5 are each in a special housing, the drying rooms, which the hot or. cold air is supplied through the channels e , housed, while the trays 2 and 4 sideways from these dry respectively. Cold rooms are arranged and only serve as transport trays.
Through the feed hopper α, which can be opened and closed by means of a slide or the like, the material to be dried arrives at the tray 1, which, supported on springs c 1 , makes a rapid back and forth movement from the shaft b by means of an eccentric or crank drive receives. From here the dry material arrives at the transport tray 2, which is supported in the same way and moved back and forth by the shaft c , which brings the material onto tray 3 and so on, until the material finally leaves the apparatus at d completely dried.
As FIG. 5 shows, the hordes describe an ascending movement as they move forward and a descending trajectory as it moves backwards.
The warm or cold air flow introduced by e first brushes the bottom of the tray, and since it cannot escape upwards laterally due to the strips / (Fig. Ι a and ib), it is forced to penetrate upwards through the channel g and to cross the dry goods against its forward movement. Through a vent h and at the end of each compartment. h 1 or h 2, the air supplied escapes with the resulting vapors or vapors. The number of drying trays to be used can of course be any, and the number of revolutions of the drive shafts can also be changed at will.
man z.
In addition, the position of the trays in relation to the horizontal can be adjusted in such a way that masses of different moisture contents can be dried on the apparatus by z. B. with moist material, which has to be thrown up more than transported, the position of the horde chooses steeper.
, Figs. 2 to 2b show an apparatus for periodic task. The material describes a cycle in that it, given up through funnel i , falls on tray 1, rises slowly here, falls onto transport tray k , from which it arrives on tray 2, in order from here to the rotatable transport tray l l to fall.
Depending on the position to be given to the tray (FIG. 2 b), which depends on whether the drying is finished or whether the material has to make another cycle, the material is drained off with the slide m opened or returned to the tray 1 . As a result of the length of the trays 1 and 2, they each contain two vapor vents 0. The air flow is directed towards the dry material through channels η.
Fig. 3 shows a modification of the apparatus with the air supply from below through the material itself. For this purpose the hordes are perforated like a sieve; besides are the same, instead of being supported, suspended from poles.
According to the modification shown in FIG. 4, the hordes are carried by levers ρ fixed on shafts p 1 with counterweights p 2 . The latter serve to compensate for the oscillating masses. The drive takes place by means of an eccentric with the aid of an intermediate lever q, which is also firmly seated on the shaft p l . The deflection of the lever ρ can be limited by laterally attached springs r.
In FIGS. 6 to 6 b, the trays 1, 2 and 4 are arranged in tiers one above the other. The material applied at α x first passes tray 1, falls directly onto tray 2 in room a 2, then on tray 3 in room a % , and finally, when dry, emerges from the apparatus at <z 4. The warm or cold air is passed through two. Channels c l c 2 supplied, of which c 1 with the racks 1 and and c 2 with the racks 2 and 4 is in connection. Corresponding to these channels, channels d x d 2 are provided on the opposite side of the drying room for the extraction of the vapors, which are combined at the top to form a common chimney d 3 . The air supplied first brushes the bottom of the racks and, since it cannot escape on the sides, passes through the sieves and the material upwards and at the opposite end into the exhaust duct d 1 respectively. d 2 .
