Glow lamp circuit with an operating voltage below the ignition voltage For the use of the capacitor-relay-glow lamp circuit to generate time-dependent switching processes, especially for traffic signal systems, an operating voltage must be available that is greater than the ignition voltage of the glow lamp. The minimum ignition voltage - is known to be at about 85 volts, so that such groups do not readily from the gewöhnlieh for telecommunication systems, in particular traffic signal installations available 6o-volt power sources can be operated. Therefore, it is: necessary to provide always an auxiliary power source for such the known systems, but this is felt to be disadvantageous.
The present invention now relates to a glow lamp holding
with an operating voltage below the ignition voltage, especially for traffic signal systems,
and aims to avoid the disadvantage mentioned. According to the invention this will be
achieved thereby,. , i.e. an auxiliary capacitance to overcome the voltage difference
switched alternately to the operating power source and to the glow lamp circuit
is, the auxiliary capacitance with the main capacitance of the glow lamp circuit so
is placed in series, -that the voltages of the two capacitances add up.

of the drawing showing an embodiment.
Spannung plus-IM in.us 6o Volt.
K ondensator
K2 gebildete Hilfskapazität zeitweise an den Glimmlampenstromkreis
gelegt wird. Dieser verläuft wie folgt: Gliminlainpe GL - Elektrode a, Relais R,
Arbeitsfeder des Umschaltkontaktes rui, Hilfskondensator K2, Arbeitsfeder des Umschaltekontaktes
ru2, Hauptkondensator K1, Gliimnlampe GL - Elektrode b. D: e main capacitance formed by the capacitor K1 is at the voltage plus-IM in.us 6o volts. It is useful to connect a variable resistor W in series so that the charging time of the capacitor K1 can be set as desired. By means of a motor (not shown), relay interrupter or the like. the changeover contacts yul and idle are constantly moved so that the auxiliary capacitance formed by a further capacitor K2 is temporarily connected to the glow lamp circuit. This runs as follows: Gliminlainpe GL - electrode a, relay R, working spring of the changeover contact rui, auxiliary capacitor K2, working spring of the changeover contact ru2, main capacitor K1, glowing lamp GL - electrode b.
The capacitor K.> is supplied by a current source of 60 volts over the
Rest springs of the reversing contacts rici and ru .. charged. As soon as the capacitor
K1 is fully charged and the charged auxiliary capacitor K_ is connected in series
the glow lamp ignites, and the aforementioned circuit is established,
in which @da: s relay R responds and capacitor K1 is discharged. The circuit
will be for the duration. maintain this process via the normally open contact r1 of relay R.
Liver another normally open contact r2 of the relay R can do the time-dependent switching process
any? - e.g. B. to control a shift drum he traffic signal systems, exploited
will. It is still for the use of the invention in traffic signal systems
a threshold contact B shown, .der in a known manner for the capacitor
K1 can produce a short circuit, so that the time-dependent switching process too
can be suppressed for as long as desired.
