Description
Es ist seit vielten Jahrzehnten von den Gärtnern versucht worden, eineLevkojensorte
zu züchten, die 'beim Anbau ausschließlich gefüllte Levkojen ergibt. Die Lösung dieser
Aufgabe ist deshalb so schwierig, weil die gefüllten Levkojen vollkommen steril sind
und weil es Übergänge zwischen einfachen und gefüllten Blumen nicht gibt, so daß sich
also gefüllte Levkojen nur aus dem Samen ίο ihrer einfachen Geschwisterpflanzen erhalten
lassen. Würde es also auf züchterischem Wege wirklich möglich sein, aus einer einfachen
Pflanze ausschließlich gefüllte Nachkommen zu erzielen, so wäre mit der Erreichung
des Zuchtzieles bereits die Sorte wieder verloren, da von ihr kein Samen geerntet werden kann.
Um gefüllte Levkojen zu erzielen, hat man sich bisher damit zufrieden gegeben, die aus
Levkojenisamen erzielten Pnänzchen so lange zu pflegen, bis die ersten jungen Blütenknospen
entstanden sind, worauf man diese durchgebissen hat, um erkennen zu können,
ob es sich um gefüllte oder einfache Knospen handelt. Dieses bekannte Verfahren hait
natürlich praktisch keine Bedeutung erlangt,
Claims (2)
1. Verfahren zur Erzielung allgefüllt blühender Levkojen, gekennzeichnet durch
die Verwendung des Samens ungefüllt blühender Levkojen von einer Mutation der Levkoje, die einen Chlorophyllfaktor
(Signalfaktor) mit der Gefülltanlage am gleichen Chromosom gekoppelt aufweist, für die Erzeugung von Sämlingen, aus
denen die hellaubigen Pflanzen ausgewählt und weiter gepflegt werden.
2. Verfahren zur Erzielung von Saatgut für die Erzeugung allgefüllt blühender
Levkojen nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die zurückbleibenden
dunkelgrünen Sämlinge in Ijekannter Weise für die Saatgewinnung bzw. für die
Einkreuzung in andere Levkojeiirassen ausgenutzt werden.
