Description

Method for the production of a stone wood covering The previous production the Steinholzheläge succeed in such a way that a mixture consisting of burnt Magnesite, sawdust. Wood flour, cork scrap, straw, leather, paint and where appropriate Asbestos, kieselguhr and talc, with an appropriate amount of magnesium chloride solution blended and this pulpy mass then brought into shapes or seamlessly, z. B. for Floors. By mixing with Chlorm, agnes @ umlauge takes place a conversion between the magnesium oxide and Chlormna, magnesium to magnesium chloride according to the formula Mg C12 + t o Mg O, less often according to Mg C12 + 5 Mg O. This chemical Implementation takes place with the hardening of the whole mass. These stonewood coverings executed in this way if there is a deficiency that the magnesium oxychloride will recover over time, r in its constituents, namely magnesium chloride and magnesium oxide decomposed, so that the surface begins to be rough as a result of a decrease in the binding capacity to become, d. H. more or less crumbles: In particular:.) This phenomenon occurs a, if z. B. the floor covering often rides water; is cleaned. The surface then no longer has the resistance to stepping and is easily soiled. One tried this Up to now the problem has been remedied by: the covering is often oiled and waxed. Even if this treatment brought a substantial improvement, it was satisfactory but not quite.

Mischt man z. It has now been found that by adding Chlorinated rubber powder to the 'stone wood mixture an extraordinary improvement in quality can achieve. If you mix z. B. a stone wood mixture with about r o% of the weight from magnesite with chlorinated rubber powder and leaves this after adding chloromagnesium lye harden and dry out, then the covering gets after a corresponding impregnation the same with a solvent for chlorinated rubber, e.g. B. Benzene, high strength, Elasticity, surface hardness, combined with a high resistance to water and all weather influences. By impregnating the surface with a solvent, z. B. benzene, the finely distributed in the flooring chlorinated rubber (chlorinated rubber is delivered with: a bulk weight down to o, i o) solved, and after the evaporation of the benzene remains the same as the chlorinated rubber film the pavement mass distributed and intimately connected back. It is known that the chlorinated rubber film is very hard and elastic and has an exceptionally high resistance to Acids, alkalis, chlorine compounds, in this case chlorine magnesium.

The present method can be carried out such that e.g. B. when producing a jointless stone wood floor first in a known manner a stone wood screed with a thickness of about i 5 mm. is laid as a sub-floor, on which then the so-called fine mixture with chlorinated rubber additive is applied. It is sufficient a chlorine rubber addition of about 10% of the amount of magnesite in the fine mixture. Of course, larger or smaller amounts of chlorinated rubber, e.g. B. for panels. After the covering has hardened and dried, it will be the same with a solvent for chlorinated rubber, e.g. B. Benzene, conveniently with a brush, Brushed vigorously once or twice.
