Beiz- und 1Vlattiermittel. Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Beiz-und Mattiermittel zum Beizen und Mattieren von Hölzern aller Art, insbesondere von Eichenholz. Die Neuheit dieses Beiz-und Mattiermittels ist darin zu erblicken, daß dasselbe kautschukhaltigen Öllack verwendet. Das Beiz- und Mattermittel verwendet in bekannter Weise Carnaubawachs und Salmiakgeist. Die Verwendung von durch Salmiakgeist verseiftem Carnaubawachs in dünnen Lösungen und mit Zusätzen von wasserlöslichen Anilinfarben ist bekannt.Pickling and flattening agents. Das Herstellungsverfahren dieses Beiz- und Mattiermittels ist folgendes: In qo g geschmolzenem Carnaubawachs werden ioo g Salmiakgeist von spezifischem Gewicht o,gio unter stetigem Umrühren eingetragen. Dieser Mischung setzt man eine erhitzte Lösung, bestehend aus 2o g kristallisiertem Soda, =o g Pattasche, =5o Teilen Kalkwasser, 30 g Kaliumbichromat, aufgelöst in iooo Teilen Wasser unter stetigem Umrühren zu. Es ist besonders darauf Obacht zu geben, daß das Carnaubawachs nicht in Körnchen ausscheidet, sondern eine salbenartige Emulsion bildet. Ist diese Emulsion erreicht, so trägt man in die Mischung 50 bis 8o g ioprozentigen Kautschuk enthaltenden Kopalöllack nach und nach ein.In the case of the pickling and matting agents present, however, oil varnish with a high rubber content is also added. Allbekanntlich greifen sich die aus der Literatur' und aus der Praxis bekannten Wachsbeizen schnell wieder ab, so daß nach einigem Gebrauch das rohe Holz an den Kanten und vorstehenden bzw. dem Gebrauch ausgesetzten Stellen wieder durchblickt. Deshalb waren die bekannten Wachsbeizen unrentabel. Dieser Übelstand ist bei vorliegendem Beiz- und Mattiermittel vollständig fortgefallen. Die Beize wird wie jede andere Beize mittels Pinsel oder Schwamm aufgetragen, nach dem Trocknen leicht mit einem Tuch überrieben oder mittels Bürste abgebürstet.
