Description
Device for lining rotary drums With cylindrical or conical rotary drums, rotary kilns @o. Like., whose inner lateral surfaces for any Purposes with a z. B. acid or refractory lining are provided, it is known, the so-called. Furnace lining made of individual wedge-shaped stones in the manner of a vault put together. The stones become .individual vaults or rings that run lengthways the drum close together, either loosely attached to one another or whole or partly connected to each other. About the sticking of the stones to the surface To favor and improve the drum, it is proposed to use the drum shell to be provided with longitudinal ribs; which lie within the brickwork or lining and support them. These longitudinal ribs made of angle iron are made with one leg screwed or riveted against the wall, while the other leg roughly protrudes in the radial direction into the expansion. These continuous on, meted- iron ribs increase the weight of the drum, which is already high. aside from that When the bricklaying was carried out, there was often a joint that was too wide between the rib and the last stone, or the last stone was too big for the space that was still available. The joint had to be filled in as a makeshift or the stones had to be reduced in size on the spot to fit in the available space. The durability of such Vaulting is not reliable, especially with larger diameter rotary kilns from Z. B. 3 to 5m. The conicity of the vault stones is then only slight, and the Makeshift capstones often fell out, making the lining partially or even @ as a whole collapsed. According to the invention are now one for each masonry ring composed of individual stones or several angle iron sections serving as a holder or support are provided which in the longitudinal direction at most the width of a stone and during the bricklaying process : be attached to the drum. The angle iron sections of adjacent rings will be expediently arranged offset from one another. The invention provides a saving achieved in iron and a reduction in drum weight; furthermore is the arrangement of the places of the angle iron sections not to ribs or rivets provided in the drum shell or screw holes tied. The space arrangement can rather be adapted to the stones and .at the respective location of the joints are chosen. This possibility offers great advantages for the durability of the lining.
During repairs, the angle iron sections are loosened (burned loose ) and welded on to the brick lining.
Es zeigen: Abb. i den Querschnitt eines Drehrohrofens, Abb.2 den Teil eines Längsschnittes nach Linien 11-II der Abb. i.In the drawing, the invention is for example on a rotary kiln explained. They show: Fig. I the cross-section of a rotary kiln, Fig. 2 the part a longitudinal section along lines 11-II of Fig. i.
Abb.3 eine Einzelheit in größerem Maßstabe.Fig.3 a detail on a larger scale.
The wall i of the rotary kiln has a refractory lining Stones 2, which are arched: similar to adjacent rings 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 3 etc. are joined together. About cohesion within the rings and on To increase the wall of the troch, short stretches of angle ice are earthed during the lining o fitted into one or more joints i o between the stones 2 and only after After the adaptation has been carried out, its legs resting against the wall i are welded to this. For the angle iron sections, individual stones are provided with recesses ii.
In the embodiment according to Figs. I and 2 there are three in each ring Angle iron sections 9 are provided. The angle iron sections of adjacent rings are offset against each other. in the present embodiment as follows, that only the sections of every fourth ring again approximately at the location of the sections of the first ring. The sections of the ring 3 are therefore approximately on the corresponding points of the drum shell such as that of the ring 6, etc. In the case of the described Attachment during the lining of the brickwork will of course result in minor deviations.
The angle irons are supposed to. lie within the brickwork without with their radial legs up to the inner surface of the brickwork or even up to to reach into the interior of the drum.
The invention is particularly suitable for carrying out the racing process certain rotary kilns, which are generally coarse in diameter. The one here Difficulties that have arisen with known lining are practically avoided.
