Description

Process for washing raw wool It has been found that labor liquors, animal galls and water-soluble, neutral metal salts or mixtures these contain salts, are particularly suitable for washing raw wool. As animal Gallen come z. B. ox bile and pig bile, as water-soluble, neutrally reacting Metal salts for example sodium chloride, sodium sulfate, sodium thiasulfate, potassium chloride, Magnesium sulfate and calcium chloride in question. Mixtures of these salts can also be used be used. It has been shown that the washing activity with the amount of salt increases. So, besides small amounts of salt, you can also use a multiple of animal salt Gallen apply. As in the present process with neutrally reacting metal salts you can do a very mild, alkali-free raw wool wash.

The individual components of the mixtures described can either before use, mixed and then added as such to the wash liquor, However, the individual components can also be: separated and in any order . be added directly to the liquors.

Das Verfahren wird an folgendem Beispiel erläutert. The procedure is explained using the following example.

Example A German raw sweat wool is mixed with water with a hardness of 1z ° Washed at a temperature of 55 ° in a liquor containing 1.5 g of dry ox bile and contains 7.5 g of sodium chloride per liter. It turns out to be white, fat-free Wool with a very open and loose structure.

Very favorable results can also be obtained by using ox bile replaced by pork bile and table salt with sodium sulfate.

Bile is already used in the house to remove stains used. But their cleaning power for eio held down, that it had to be used with soaps or alkalis. As a detergent for raw wool is the gall. so far out of the question. Only through the common Use of bile uid, water-soluble, neutrally reacting metal "salts" it has become possible to clean wool on a technical scale.
