inerte mineralische Stoffe verwendet.
Process for the production of a spreadable, thickening agent
containing rust removal agents It is already known for the production of spreadable
Rust removal agents \ Ierdil: - removal agents for liquid rust removal agents, e.g. B. to
Hydrochloric acid or phosphoric acid to be added. As thickeners are so far special
inert mineral substances are used. However, the rust removal agents thus obtained are
for some purposes, especially for derusting heavily rusted iron parts, little
suitable because they contain relatively little liquid, only in a thin layer
Can be applied and dry too quickly.
It has been found that produced by a special process
wet silica gels. which contain acids and other rust-removing substances,
in the properties and the effect of the previously known, containing thickeners
Far surpass rust removal agents. Such "gels" are when properly made
durable and can easily be applied in a thick layer to the iron parts to be derusted
apply, dried slowly and are rinsed off after the rust has ceased
easy to etitfertieti. ._, The process for the manufacture of these paint rust removers
is as follows: The gels are first neutralized in a known manner
flocculated with acids. Only after standing for a long time the flocculated and neutral ones
Gels should contain the amount of acid required for the rust removal effect
quickly added and stirred. The length of time the gels stand before stirring
the acid must, depending on the manufacturing conditions, at least half an hour
to be about 6 hours. After adding the acid or together with the acid
other rust-removing substances can be added.
Beispiele
i. Je iol Natronwasserglas (3y'Be) wer-
den in .1o 1 Wasser gelöst und mit 2,51 kon-
zentrierter Salzsäure, die mit 2o l Wasser ver-
dünnt sind, ausgeflockt. Nach Stehen über
Nacht werden folgende Zusätze möglichst
Schnell zugesetzt und verrührt:
a ) 171 konzentrierte Salzsäure oder
b) i o l konzentrierte Salzsäure und 4 1
66oio ige Phosphorsäure oder
c ä 81 konzentrierte Salzsäure, verdünnt mit

3. iol Natronwasserglas werden in 401

For example, you can proceed in such a way that a sodium waterglass solution is flocculated with hydrochloric acid at pH = 8 to 9 and that, after standing overnight, a certain amount of concentrated hydrochloric acid is added in one pour and stirred. But it can also use other acidic rust removal agents, such as. B. phosphoric acid or a mixture of oalsic acid and alumina sulfur or a mixture of phosphoric acid, oxalic acid and alumina sulfur with or can be added without hydrochloric acid. The end-
the gels can also be flaked with sulfur
acid, phosphoric acid or oxalic acid,
whereupon after standing accordingly
must go and be stirred.
Examples i. For each iol of soda water glass (3y'Be)
