The innovation concerns an arrangement to avoid fogging of observation devices, especially IR glasses.
Der Versuch, die Linsenfläche des Okulars bzw, der Lupe mit den aus verschiedenen Bereichen der Optik bekannten Anti-Beschlagtüchern zu behandeln, hat bisher keine ent-The use of such monitoring devices often unpleasant and cumbersome disadvantage arises that the last one, the eye of the beholder d facing lens surface "· * Okularβ or the magnifying glass from fogging. This effect is due to the fact that the lenses do not adapt quickly enough to the body heat of the viewer and as a result condensation is deposited on the surface of the lens. This precipitation can lead to a severe impairment of the observation function of the viewing device or completely prevent observation. The fitting can also only be removed with difficulty and is a serious disadvantage, especially where the correct and immediate operational readiness of the display device is of crucial importance, which applies especially to the predominantly military application of such display devices. The attempt to treat the lens surface of the eyepiece or the magnifying glass with the anti-fogging cloths known from different areas of optics has so far not resulted in any

scheidende Verbesserung jcebraeht. Since the Anti-Besoh. 1 ageubstanz doing a film on the Glascberfläche leaves, also the optical quality of the equipment is very reduced.
Die der Neuerung zugrunde liegende Aufgabe besteht daher darin, ein Mittel zu finden, mit dem die zuvor genannten Schwierigkeiten und Nachteile vermieden werden und mit f dessen Hilfe auch bei ungünstigen TemperaturverhältnissenThe task on which the innovation is based is therefore to find a means by which the aforementioned Difficulties and disadvantages can be avoided and with the help of this, even under unfavorable temperature conditions eine einwandfroie Beobachtung mit dem Sichtgerät ohne irgendwelche Besohla^serscheinungen ermöglicht wird.flawless observation with the viewing device is made possible without any signs of wear and tear.
This object is achieved according to the innovation in that the last lina surface of the eyepiece or the magnifying glass pointing towards the eye of the beholder is preceded at a small distance by a cover plate made of a transparent material of low thermal conductivity. It is useful if the cover plate consists of polymetacrylic acid ester or diallyl glycol carbonate, that is to say a plastic glass. Diallyl glycol carbonate has the special ^ advantage that it has a higher surface strength than polymetacrylic acid and is therefore more resistant to scratching and smudging.
As a result of the lower thermal conductivity of the lens according to the innovation compared to glass, it is clear, as tests and have proven convincingly that the operational and functional capability of a equipped with this innovation Observation device is significantly improved and that, above all, the risk of fogging up of the display device as well is significantly reduced in extreme temperature conditions.

An embodiment of the innovation is shown in the drawing and described in more detail below.
The drawing shows the end of an IR glasses facing the viewer's eye in a schematic cross-sectional view. The glasses have a housing 1 with a magnifying glass 2 and one of the last lens surface of the magnifying glass 2 with a small distance upstream Absohlußscheibe 3, which according to the Innovation consists of a transparent material with little heat capacity. One has proven to be very effective for this Plastic glass made from polymetacrylic acid or diallyl glycol carbonate has been proven.
The cover plate 3 is held in the housing 1 of the glasses by means of a threaded ring 5 in which / is fastened, for example, by adhesive bonding. Part of an eyecup is denoted by k.
