Description

The invention relates to a method for electrical resistance projection welding. It is already known to use thicker sheets, flat forgings or the like similar construction parts' with the help of electrical resistance projection welding attach. In this known projection welding, the procedure is that one or both of the parts to be welded are provided with bulges before welding with which the parts to be joined together at the beginning of the welding process come to rest. These bulges! form transition points for the welding current. The bulges are first preheated in the welding machine under low electrode pressure and after they have been reached Sufficient welding heat pressed flat with increased pressure while welding. But this type of attachment has not entirely satisfied, as there are often cracks in the after prolonged use. welded Seam occurred.

Besonders vorteilhaft wird das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zum Verbinden der zur Befestigung von Schienen dienenden Rippen- oder Hakenplatten mit eisernen Schellen benutzt.namely been found that, if 1, a degree of deformation of 5 o / o is not exceeded, the seam produced by means of projection welding to mechanical stresses is the most resistant. This prevents the formation of recrystallization zones due to the welding heat, which are known to have a lower resistance to fatigue. In comparison to higher degrees of deformation, the welding times are then significantly reduced. As a result, when used in mass production, the method has the advantage that, by using it, a considerable improvement in economic efficiency is achieved in addition to a higher reliability of the welded connection in comparison with the known projection welding method. The method according to the invention is particularly advantageously used for connecting the rib or hook plates used for fastening rails with iron clamps.
