An dem vorliegenden Carbolzerstäuber nach Lister, Fig. 1, welcher bei Operationen und zur Reinigung der Luft in Krankenzimmern etc. verwendet wird, ist der vordere Rohrverschlufs A zur Regulirung der durch die zusammengeprefste Luft herausstäubenden Carbolsäure neu.On the present carbol atomizer according to Lister, Fig. 1, which is used in operations and for cleaning the air in hospital rooms, etc., the front pipe connection A for regulating the carbolic acid atomized out by the compressed air is new.
Bisher wurde die Carbolsäure durch ein haarfeines Loch getrieben. Ein kleines Stäubchen, wie sie theils in der Luft herumfliegen, theils auch in den, die zu zerstäubende Säure enthaltenden Flaschen B durch längeren Nichtgebrauch sich absetzen, verstopft dieses haarfeine Loch und macht den Apparat unbrauchbar. Es ist ein Herausnehmen von Schrauben und Reinigen der verstopften Theile durch haarfeine Drähte nöthig, die aber nun sehr oft, da sie nicht immer bei der Hand sind, durch Nadeln oder andere harte Werkzeuge ersetzt werden, leider aber fast immer zum Nachtheil des Apparates, denn das kleine Loch wird erweitert und die Zerstäubung vollständig unregelmäfsig. Alles dies bedingt aber immer längere Zeit, ohne dafs der Erfolg nur im geringsten vorher garantirt werden kann. Dieser Uebelstand, der gerade bei Operationen in höchst störender, ja manchmal sogar gefährlicher Weise auftritt und dessen Beseitigung durch die Schwierigkeiten in der Construction des Apparates längere Zeit in Anspruch nimmt, wird durch meine Erfindung vermieden.Up until now, carbolic acid was driven through a hole as thin as a hair.
