Description
Insulated aluminum copper conductor There is a need for electrical Conduct the copper through indigenous metals, especially aluminum substitute. The use of a metal of lower conductivity than copper is however difficult in all cases with ladders in spatially restricted grooves or other Baby changing rooms for electrical machines and devices. Namely, the same performance to be able to send through a winding made of a metal with lower conductivity, the conductor cross-section must correspond to the lower conductivity compared to copper are enlarged, and that requires an increase in the changing space and thus of the electric machine. As a rule, however, the efficiency is lower than the electrical one Machine with the same performance and an increase in the dimensions of the machine return. The additional expenditure of energy to achieve the same performance usually predominates the savings aimed at by using the metal of lower conductivity, quite apart from the others associated with an increase in dimensions Disadvantages.
One might think of saving copper by using the electrical Making conductors only partially from copper by alloying the copper with aluminum. Such alloys have so poor mechanical properties that they are useless for the purpose mentioned.
According to the invention, insulated aluminum copper conductors are used for the purposes mentioned used, both inorganically by partial oxidation of the outer aluminum layer as well as organically by a fiber or lacquer layer are insulated in such a way that that its outer diameter is electrically equivalent to that of a fiber-insulated one Copper wire.
The invention therefore leads to increased application of aluminum without increasing the space required for the conductor.
To explain the invention, the following should be noted: The difference the conductivity of the copper (56) and the aluminum (33) is considerable. He is around 70 ° / o. The difference is so great that you can replace copper conductors with those made of aluminum, the necessary enlargement of the cross-section is also achieved not when using modern, high-quality insulation with a smaller thickness can compensate. By a combination of copper and aluminum according to the invention but the resulting conductivity can be brought to a value at which the Cross-sectional enlargement remains within the limits of the application higher quality and consequently thinner insulating layers can be compensated. Such insulation can easily be achieved with aluminum-clad copper conductors achieve by oxidizing the aluminum in a known manner and applying it to the oxide layer a thin lacquer; Applying a layer of silk or rayon.
You can z. B. according to the Eiffindung a double insulated with cotton Replace copper wire with an aluminum clad copper wire with the resulting Conductivity 49. This resistance is obtained with a copper content of about 7o ° / o and an aluminum content of about 3o ° / o. Because of the lower conductivity The necessary cross-sectional enlargement of the bare conductor is here about 3o ° / o. A copper wire with a diameter of 1 mm has one with double cotton insulation Outside diameter of 1.23 mm. A conductor according to the invention with 30% aluminum and 70 per cent. copper of the same electrical resistance has a bare conductor diameter from i, i mm. When using high-quality insulation made of aluminum oxide and rayon a total diameter of the insulated wire of 1.2 mm can easily be achieved reach. The two wires have the same overall cross-section and are also equal in their electrical effect. In the wire according to the invention, however about 30% copper saved.
It is known per se, the diameter of insulated electrical conductors reduce by replacing the conductor's insulating material with a higher quality one Replaced insulating material. In these known methods, it is a question of changing room to save. In contrast, the conductor according to the invention adapts to the conventional one Conductor diameter, so that ex advantageously the copper of the usual conductors In some cases it is possible to save without having to make structural changes to the winding grooves to force electrical machines. It is also known to make a copper conductor thereby to be surrounded with an insulating layer so that aluminum is sprayed on it and that Sprayed-on aluminum is oxidized on the surface for the purpose of insulation. This well-known However, the copper conductor conducts the current exclusively in the copper itself, so the inventive adaptation of the overall diameter to the existing openings (Winding grooves) for electrical machines is not given in this case: Continue Composite copper-aluminum conductors are known in which the aluminum passes through Oxidation is converted into insulating aluminum oxide. With such ladders one has the insulating effect of the aluminum oxide layers by means of organic insulating materials added. This organic supplement to inorganic insulating layers made of aluminum oxide on copper conductors is not the subject of the invention, which is advanced a special sizing rule for the total diameter of the insulated conductor indicates.
