Strand pendulum with a clamping device on the pendulum in the desired position
Height of suspendable reflector luminaire In lighting technology, strand pendulums are popular
related, whose lights are attached to the end of the braid and articulated by means of a
Clamping device attached to the reflector lamp on the pendulum at the desired height
and position are hangable. Such lights have opposite the tube pendant lights
the advantage of being able to be hung on the side when not in use, since the
The wire is flexible and the lamp can easily be attached to a nearby one
Hook can be hung in a place where it does not interfere. Such. Strand pendant lights
but have the disadvantage that they, once rotated around the vertical axis, around this
Axis like this. Keep swinging for a long time until they gradually return to the rest position.
When the incandescent lamp is switched on, there is this back and forth movement, especially in the case of one
Reflector, which is not arranged symmetrically around the light axis, extremely uncomfortable,
because of the changing lighting on the work site caused by this movement
hardly allows work. Of course it would be possible by using one on one
Rigid tube adjustable-mounted light fixture is to fix this bug, however
the advantage of the strand pendulum that it can be hung on its side when not in use
can not be given with the tube pendulum.
pendelt. The use of metal hose with internal friction is known
to adjust a reflector to a desired direction of the luminous flux,
without using a special tripod. The adjustability is however with these
Constructions a limited. As the internal friction subsides, it increases
given the possibility that the reflector comes from the desired direction. Known
are also strand pendulums, which are arranged parallel to the strand by using a
Auxiliary pendulum is avoided that the reflector back and forth about the vertical axis
commutes.

I shows a section through a dex, metal-clad stranded wire; a are the two wires of the line, b d insulation of the wires and c the flexible 1VI ', tall cladding. Such flexible metal-clad lines are already known, but have not yet been used in connection with adjustable pendant lights of the type described above and for the purpose described above of combining the advantage of the strand pendulum with the advantage of the rigid tube pendulum. An application is shown in Fig. 2, where a longitudinal reflector d, which is attached to an adjustable stand, can be brought into any angular position and in any height position on the strand pendulum by means of the wire eyelet. As shown in Fig. I, the strand pendulum is provided with a sheet-like metal cladding, so that: a twisting of the reflector around the axis hk is opposed to a substantial resistance. The metal-clad strand! is passed through a tube, and. It is a further advantage of the metal-clad strand that .without any locking device, this metal-clad strand remains in the tube in the given position. In the present construction, the tube, which is arranged displaceably in the bracket, can be rotated in four directions about the axis mm w'en. The bracket o is screwed to the ceiling @ * @ r. In the exemplary embodiment, a longitudinal reflector is shown. However, the carbon-clad strand is just as important for every round reflector attached to the strand pendulum (see p in Fig. 3).
