Process for the preparation of disazo dyes The present invention
refers to a process for the production of etchable, substantive disazo dyes,
which consists in using any diazo compound having no phenolic hydroxyl group
with a 2- (Aminoaroylamino) -5-oxynaphthalene-7-sultonic acid, the obtained
Aminoazo dye further diazotized and finally coupled with an o-oxybenzoic acid.
The disazo dyes obtainable in this way are remarkable for their lightfastness
and above all distinguished by an excellent neutral and alkaline etchability.
Compared to known, similarly built dyes, which, however, in the
Initial component when the phenolic hydroxyl group icontaining is indicated by the present
Process available dyes have a much better fastness to brightening.
Beispiel i 9,3 Gewichtsteile Anilin werden in bekannter Weise dianotiert
Example i 9.3 parts by weight of aniline are dianotized in a known manner
and with a soda-alkaline solution of 36.5 parts by weight of 2 - (¢ '-Amin @obenzoylamino)
- 5 - oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid combined. The resulting aminoazo dye is
sucked off and after pasting by stirring for several hours with nitrite and hydrochloric acid
further diazotized. The resulting mixture runs into a solution containing 20 parts by weight of sodium hydroxide solution
offset, concentrated, aqueous solution of 14 parts by weight of i-oxybenzene-2-carboxylic acid.
The coupling comes to an end fairly quickly and the dye is released in a known manner
severed. It forms a yellowish red, which can be easily etched in a neutral and alkaline manner
is.
Verwendet man in' diesem Beispiel i-Amino-2 - m@ethylbenzol oder i
- Amino - 2 - methoxybenzol, so gelangt man zu blaustichigen rot färbenden Farbstoffen
von ähnlichen Eigenschaften. If one uses i-amino-2-m @ ethylbenzene or i in this example
- Amino - 2 - methoxybenzene, this leads to bluish red coloring substances
of similar properties.
Example 2 13.6 parts by weight of i-amine, o-3-formylb, enzene are mixed with
Nitrite and hydrochloric acid are dianotized in the usual way. Otherwise, the same procedure is followed
as in Example i, except that i5.5 parts by weight of 6-methyl-i-oxybenzene-2-carboxylic acid are used for the final coupling.
After separation, the dye is suspended in a 5 percent sulfuric acid
and heated to boiling temperature for about 1/4 hour. The dye thus obtained leaves
develop diazotigeren on the fiber and with azo components or in a known manner
Way with diazotized i-amino-4-nitrobjenzol to a neutral and alkaline @ also
develop well-etchable brown.
