Description
Process for the preparation of paradiketocamphane carboxylic acid and of Ketooxycamphane carboxylic acid The subject matter of the present invention is a process for the production of paradiketocamphane carboxylic acid and ketooxycamphane carboxylic acid by introducing carbon dioxide into paradiketocamphane or bromodiketocamphane in the presence of sodium, potassium or magnesium metal as a catalyst.
A body mixture is obtained which essentially consists of paradiketocamphane carboxylic acid and ketooxycamphane carboxylic acid. These components can by suitable Procedures are separated from each other. The diketocamphane carboxylic acid like the ketooxycamphane carboxylic acid has a stimulating effect on the heart.
For example, the new bodies can be made as follows: 10 parts by weight of paradiketocamphane (or 1q. parts by weight of bromine paradiketocamphane) are dissolved in about 50 parts by weight of an organic solvent, for example in xylene, toluene or benzene. 3 parts by weight of metallic material are added to this solution Sodium (or q. Parts by weight of metallic potassium or magnesium) in wire or Powder form is added, then it becomes dry while heating the solution to a boil Carbon dioxide initiated. After prolonged cooking and C02 units it forms gradually a yellowish brown precipitate. Once most of the metal is consumed the reaction is complete. When this reaction is carried out at elevated pressure is, between about 5 and in Atm .; so becomes the time required for the reaction Abbreviated according to the pressure applied. The most favorable reaction temperature is between ioo and i40 °. When the reaction is complete, the contents of the jar cooled and the still unused metal carefully decomposed by small pieces of ice, whereupon a larger amount of cold water is added. From. the aqueous Phase, the organic solvent is then separated, the latter becomes the unconsumed Diketocamphane recovered.
The alkaline aqueous solution separated from the organic solvent The solution is heated, the substances that precipitate out in small quantities become after cooling removed by etherification. The solution is then acidic until it appears Reaction with a mineral acid, for example sulfuric or hydrochloric acid, added, the free carboxylic acids which are deposited are absorbed with ether. After drying and evaporation of the ether 6 to 7 .Teile of a mixed product are obtained, the represents a yellow oily body.
Menge Benzol entstehen prismatische Kristalle
