Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine mangelartige Vorrichtung zum Ausbreiten von Tabakblättern mit einem balligen Auflagekissen an der Einführungsstelle. Bei den bekannten Vorrichtungen dieser Art sind die balligen Auflagekissen in Achsrichtung der Mangel schmal und verlaufen senkrecht zur Achsrichtung in einem längeren sanften Bogen. Die auszubreitenden Tabakblätter werden längs ihrer Rippen auf dieses Kissen aufgelegt und durch Erfassen der überhängenden Blatthälften einigermaßen ausgebreitet, um dann in die Mangel zu gelangen. Die Erfindung will nicht nur diesen Übelstand beseitigen, sondern auch durch Verbreiterung des Kissens ein über das Glätten des Tabakblattes hinausgehendes Ausbreiten desselben bewirken. Sie zeichnet sich gegenüber den bekannten Vorrichtungen dadurch aus, daß das Kissen sich in Achsrichtung der Mangelwalzen mindestens über die Breite des Tabakblattes erstreckt und auf der den Mangelwalzen zugekehrten Seite eine Kante aufweist, über die das Blatt im Winkel hinweggezogen wird. Wird auf einem solchen Kissen, welches übrigens in einer zur Achsrichtung der Mangelwalzen senkrechten Ebene verhältnismäßig schmal gehalten werden kann, die Spitze eines Blattes ausgebreitet und in die Mangel eingeführt, so kann während des weiteren Mangelvorganges der noch nicht eingeführte Blatteil der Breite nach von Hand auf dem Kissen fortlaufend vorgeglättet werden. Dabei zieht die Mangel das Tabakblatt im Winkel über die erwähnte bogenförmige Kante, wodurch, besonders mit Rücksicht auf die dem Tabak eigene Dehnungsfähigkeit, ein fortlaufendes Ausbreiten des Blattes bewirkt wird. Dieses so ausgebreitete Blatt behält dann nach Durchlauf durch die Mangel seinen ausgebreiteten Zustand bei, ohne sich etwa wieder zusammenzuziehen, wie dies bei Blättern, die nicht auf die beschriebene Weise vorher ausgebreitet wurden, schon nach kurzer Zeit der Fall ist. Ein weiterer Vorteil liegt darin, daß durch das Hinwegziehen des Blattes über die der Mangel zugekehrte Kissenkante die oft im Zickzack verlaufende Rippe des Tabakblattes geradegezogen und in diesem Zustand plattgedrückt wird, so daß ein einwandfreies maschinelles Entrippen solcher Tabakblätter gewährleistet ist. Besonders bei Brasiltabakblättern macht sich dieser Vorzug sowohl wie auch das überraschende Ausbreiten besonders vorteilhaft bemerkbar.
