Abstract
The system for the detection of fires contains at least one linear smoke sensor, an optical stray-light sensor or a flame sensor and a signal-processing stage (3) for the signals produced in the at least one sensor. The signal-processing stage (3) contains an evaluation circuit and a fuzzy logic (5) and means (4) for temporal analysis of the signals for the assessment of signal parameters. The signal parameters form linguistic variables of the fuzzy logic (5) which contains a knowledge base (information base) with data for typical fire and spurious-alarm events and with values, assigned to these data, of the signal parameters or combinations of these. <IMAGE>
