Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a device which surely discriminates colors by detecting the reflected light or transmitted light obtained by successively irradiating a specimen with plural light sources of different light colors with two pieces of photodetecting parts of different spectral sensitivity characteristics and comparing the same. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of light sources 4a, 4b of different spectral distributions like curves F1, F2 are alternately lighted by a switch. The reflected light (or transmitted light) obtained by irradiating a specimen with the light thereof through a filter 6 is inputted to a color sensor 5 consisting of two kinds of photodetecting parts PD1, PD2 and a control unit 7. The unit 7 consists of an operational amplifier for determining the ratio of two kinds of the photodetection outputs, transistors, etc., and inputs the output E0 thereof a comparator 8. The outputs of the comparator 8 obtained by operating the plural specimens with the light source 4a then with the light source 4b are compared with a standard pattern. Thereby, the color differences of cables, resistances, capacitors, etc., displayed by colors are easily detected.
