Abstract

Fremgangsmåte og apparat for å hindre falsk respons i en optisk detektor ( l ) som er følsom overfor fluktuasjoner eller endringer i den optiske stråling fra en kilde (3). The following steps are performed: a) receiving the optical radiation from the source, b) selecting a predetermined wavelength range, c) recording changes in the received optical radiation and emitting a time-related signal (curve representation) at the detector output, d analysis of the detected signal with respect to chaotic (i.e. aperiodic) behavior by establishing the assigned fractal dimension of the signal and using this fractal property of the time-related signal: from the optical radiation from the source (3) to distinguish between sources of fluctuating optical radiation with periodic or interrupted course and e) only give a response to the output of the detector in case chaotic radiation is detected from the source.
