Description

Methods of printing, dyeing and padding It is known that in printing, dyeing and padding of the commercial dyes that. the end Mixtures of nitrosamines of substituted anilines with naphthols or 2,3-oxynaphthoic anilides and the like exist, an addition of Turkish red oils to the printing ink, dye liquor or Klotzbrühe has proven to be cheap.

It has now been found that an extraordinary deepening of the hue . occurs when printing, dyeing, or padding with these dyes in the presence of pyridine, its homologues or derivatives, optionally in the presence of aromatic, in particular ring-alkylated sulfonic acids or sulfonated oils takes place. as aromatic sulfonic acids are z. B. Isopropylnaphthalenesulfonic acid or butylnaphthalenesulfonic acid used, sulfonation products obtained as sulfonated oils by any process of fatty acids or their derivatives, e.g. B. ricinoleic acid ester or its Sodium salt. It turns out that with this procedure the fiber about 2o to 25% is colored deeper. The contours from the printing are much sharper, the color liquors become more durable, the rubbing fastness is increased, the liquors penetrate better, which increases the color-through effect.

It has been widely suggested in printing and dyeing to add pyridine to the liquors or printing inks in order to prevent the fibers and to promote the leveling of the dyeings. However, it was not to be expected especially when working with the dyes identified above by adding them of pyridine or its derivatives one qualitatively and quantitatively as significant Effect is achieved, which with other cotton dyes is nowhere near the same amount and primarily in a very extraordinary way There is amplification of the intensity of the coloring.

Example printing ink i 50 g of the dye from diazotized 2, 5-dichloro-r-aminobenzene with 2,3-Oxynaphthoylaminob, enzene (see Schulz, color tables, 7th edition, 193 i, No. 50) 20 g pyridine bases 32 g highly sulfonated castor oil fatty acid (q.0% fat) 28 g caustic soda r2 ° B6 56o g starch tragacanth thickening new tral, 65: r oo 120 g neutral sodium chromate solution I: 2 70 g of water 20 g turpentine 1000 g The implementation of the process is done in such a way that the paint mass aüs der-. like dyes made into a paste with pyridine or its derivatives, optionally mixed with sulfonated oil preparations or aromatic sulfonic acids, and then further processed in a known manner.
