Self-priming centrifugal pump To a centrifugal pump self-priming
to make it is known to partially alternate with the impeller of the centrifugal pump
To apply air from the suction chamber and circulating water from the pressure chamber and between
to arrange your impeller room and pressure chamber ducts. With the previously known types
however, such self-priming centrifugal pumps could have the self-priming effect
can only be achieved by greatly reducing the delivery rate.
According to the invention, there is now no reduction in the delivery rate
a self-priming effect of the centrifugal pump is achieved in that the outlet channels
are nozzle-shaped between the impeller chamber and pressure chamber and, in the direction of rotation
seen of the impeller, lie in front of the beginning of the diffuser. By such a
Design and arrangement of the nozzle-shaped channels is achieved that the sucked
Air easily brought to the pressure of the water in the diffuser
and thus emerges from the pump without difficulty. Because the nozzle-shaped
Channels are arranged in front of the beginning of the diffuser, so they only limit one
Part of the impeller circumference, and enough space remains free in the diffuser so that
the outlet channels do not impair the delivery of the water in any way. That
Auxiliary water that is used in the known pumps to form the water ring
is detected in the pump designed according to the invention from the impeller
and in individual plugs of water through the channels in front of the diffuser
promoted the pressure chamber of the pump. This plug of water is then used in the suction chamber
The air is sucked in and conveyed into the pressure chamber together with the auxiliary water.
As a result of the nozzle-shaped design of the channels is the flowing through the channels
Water-air mixture gives a greater acceleration. Near the wheel hub
openings are made towards the pressure chamber, through which the into the pressure chamber
The pumped auxiliary water flows back and so in the circuit back to the pump impeller
is fed. The consumption of auxiliary water is reduced to such an extent that
a single filling of the pump is sufficient to keep it permanently operational.
In den Zeichnungen ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel dargestellt. Fig. i
i i in den Lauf radraum zurückfließen.
An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawings. Fig. I
shows the cross section through the impeller, Fig. z shows an axial section of a centrifugal pump.
The gel housing of the pump is denoted by i. a is the shaft carrying the impeller 3.
The impeller 3 runs in an impeller housing built into the pump housing i
4th, In this impeller housing the nozzles 5 are attached, which through a channel
6 are in communication with the pressure chamber 7. To the auxiliary water pumped into the pressure chamber
To be able to feed the impeller back, openings 8 are provided in the pump housing,
through which the auxiliary water enters the room 9
can. From there
Can the auxiliary water through openings io and through the slots arranged in the impeller
i i flow back into the running wheel space. As soon as the in the suction chamber 12 or the suction line
13 is removed from the pump, the water is from the pump sump
in the usual way through the inlet opening 1.4 and the diffuser 15 into the pressure lines
promoted.
in den-Druckraum einmünden.
The pump designed according to the invention has the advantage that its efficiency
compared to the known self-priming pumps is significantly improved because
those for the auxiliary air pump or for the air removal device also during
of the actual conveying operation to be applied in the case of the invention
executed pump is no longer available or is reduced in size. Another advantage
the pump designed according to the invention is that there is no in the pump
Air sacs can form because of the connecting channels between the air wheel space and the pressure space
can easily be arranged so that they are at the highest point of the pump
open into the pressure chamber. During operation, however, a certain amount of
Amount of water in the circuit through the openings 8, the space g and the columns io
promoted. However, the power to be applied for this is so low that the entire
The efficiency of the pump remains much better than before
known self-priming pumps is the case.
