Claims (12)

1. Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von aromatischen Polyestern durch Umsetzen eines aromatischen Dicarbonsäuredi-Chlorids mit einem Alkalimetallsalz eines Bisphenols in einer wäßrigen Lösung, wobei die Verbesserung die Zugabe von 0,01 bis 100 Molprozent, bezogen auf die gesamte Monomerenmenge, eines Säurehalogenids in das Reaktionssystem umfaßt.
2. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Säurehalogenid zu einer Zeit zugegeben wird, wenn der Umwandlungsgrad nicht geringer als 50 % ist.
3. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Säurehalogenid zu einer Zeit zugegeben wird, nachdem die Polymerisationsreaktion im wesentlichen beendet ist»
4. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Säurehalogenid mindestens eine der Verbindungen der Formel
R-Y-X
ist, in dem R für einen einwertigen organischen Rest steht, Y für einen Rest steht, der aus der Gruppe ausgewählt ist, welche aus -CO-, -SO0-, -SO-, PO-- und -PO- besteht, und X für ein Halogen steht.

5. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 4, wobei der einwertige organische Rest ein zweiwertiger Kohlenwasserstoffrest mit 1 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatomen ist.
6. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, v/obei der zweiwertige Kohlenwasserstoff rest aus einer Gruppe ausgewählt ist, die aus der Alkylgruppe, Alkenylgruppe, Arylgruppe und Aralkylgruppe besteht.
^ 7. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Menge an Säurehalogenid 0,01 bis 100 Molprozent, bezogen auf die gesamte Monomermenge, beträgt.
8. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, wobei die Menge des Säurehalogenids 1 bis
Monomermenge beträgt.

Polyester durch Polymerisation von aromatischen Carbonsäure-

10. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 7, wobei das Carbonsäuredihalogenid ein Carbonsäuredichlorid mit 8 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatomen ist.
11. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Bisphenol δ bis 30 Kohlenstoffatome enthält.
12. Ein Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei der aromatische
Polyester in Gegenwart eines Phasenübertragungskatalysators hergestellt wird.
