Description
Process for the preparation of a finishing agent The subject of the invention is a further development of the process for the production of a finishing agent according to the main patent 49-157-1 according to the main patent requires manufacture; of Finishing agent, which is particularly suitable for household use, e.g. B. for finishing used clothing, suitable that fatty acids, especially oleic acids with low, also polybasic organic acids or boric acid with the addition of a Emulsion agent, e.g. B. organic sulfonic acid, be stirred intimately so that an approximately pasty, ointment-shaped or viscous mass is formed which is emulsifiable in water and is used in this form.
Through further experiments it has now been found that, by simplifying the process according to Patent 494 574, a composition which can be emulsified in water and has the same effect on the finishing is obtained when fatty acid, in particular oleic acid, with an organic sulfonic acid or other organic acids , which also act as emulsifying agents, mixed homogeneously by mechanical attrition alone, especially if this mixture is in a suitable apparatus, e.g. B. a colloid mill or a homogenizer or similar apparatus takes place. The following acids have been found to be suitable organic sulfonic acids: benzoesulfonic acid, alkylated naphthalene sulfonic acid, sulfophthalic acid, lignosulfonic acid; of other organic acids, for example, mellitic acid comes into consideration.
The finishing agent produced in this way is suitable like that the main patent 494 574 for household use because of its ease of use and its influence not only for finishing purposes in general, e.g. B. for finishing new fabrics, but also for household use for finishing # used clothing.
Gewebefestigkeit.Another improvement to the above process is that the mixture of fatty acids with others acting as emulsifiers at the same time Acids, acidic salts, especially inorganic acidic salts, e.g. B. acid ammonium phosphate, adds. The effect achieved in this way is an increase in suppleness and a support of the shrinkage with a resultant therefrom Increase in fiber or fabric strength.
The following compositions have proven to be particularly useful: Embodiment i i part of oleic acid is finely triturated with o, 3 parts of sulfophthalic acid, then poured into 24 parts of ammonium phosphate (monobasic) with stirring. 8 parts of pulverized sulfoplithalic acid are then added to this mixture, and finally the whole thing is thoroughly rubbed in. Execution example 12 5o g of mellitic acid are thoroughly triturated with oleic acid, it being advisable to use oleic acid beforehand Dissolve in a volatile solvent for a better, more uniform To achieve wetting of the solid M'ellitic acid. This mixture of mellitic acid and oleic acid is then expedient with a filler which is readily soluble in water z. B. monobasic ammonium phosphate or other suitable, also neutral, water-soluble Salts, made up to 100 g, to make a powdery, dry, easy to dose and to get packable bulk.
