Electric bright annealing furnace The invention relates to electrical
Bright annealing furnaces with inert gas operation, which are made of heat-resistant and heat-impermeable
Material are made and the interior of which receives the annealing material. The walled up
In these known furnaces, the glow space is surrounded by a metal jacket with play,
which ensures the gas-tight seal to the outside. According to the invention is the
between the masonry and your metal jacket remaining 'space through channels
or slots connected to the glow space. This creates an automatic circulation
of the protective gas between the glowing space and the intermediate space. By a
Such circulation is used to cool the annealing material during the cooling period
promoted, and in addition, the protective gas mixed vapors in the form of
Precipitate condensate on the inner wall of the metal jacket, which is cooled by the outside air.
The condensate can then be easily removed from the outside.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
i is the masonry made of heat-resistant material and enclosing the glow space,
a the heating coil carried by this. The top of the glow space is through
completed the furnace lid, which is also made of heat-resistant material.
The gas-tight seal is achieved by a furnace jacket made of sheet metal io,
which is immersed in a liquid seal 5. The furnace lid3 can be lifted off by itself
made; for this purpose an additional liquid seal 7 is provided,
into which the metal jacket ¢ surrounding the masonry 3 of the furnace cover protrudes.
The glow space is through channels 8 between the furnace masonry .i and the metal jacket
io located interspace connected. There is a second connection between these rooms
through slots 6 immediately below the furnace lid 3. The arrows shown
indicate the @ direction in which due to the temperature differences between
the glow space and the space 9 air-cooled by the metal jacket
automatic circulation of the protective gas occurs. With this circulation beats
the water vapor mixed with the protective gas on the inside of the metal jacket
low. The condensate arrives in the liquid seal 5 and can out of this
can be taken from the outside.
