Die Erfindung bezieht sich, auf einen Sitz, insbesondere für Kraftfahrzeuge, welcher mit an der unteren Seite angeordneten Schienen in ortsfesten Gleitführungen längsverschicbbar und mittels an den Schienen und Gleitführungen angreifender Sperrvorrichtungen feststellbar ist, und ist gekennzeichnet durch eine zur losen Lagerung eines Sperrgliedes mit einer Reihe von Einschnitten versehene ortsfeste Schiene und einen mittels eines Rasteneinschnittes mit dem Sperrstift zusammenwirkenden, schwenkbar am Sitz angeordneten Hebel. Diese Feststellvorrichtung enthält keine Feder, wirkt völlig selbsttätig und gestattet eine Bewegung des Sitzes nach entgegengesetzten Richtungen des Sperrstiftes, zu welchem Zwecke der Rastenhebel nur einmal von Hand angehoben zu \verden braucht. Bei der Rückbewegung des Sitzes an seine ursprüngliche Stellung fällt der Hebel selbsttätig wieder in Eingriff mit dem Sperrstift. Die Veränderung der Sperrstellung des Sitzes erfolgt lediglich durch Verlagerung des Sperrstiftes auf der mit Einschnitten verscheneu Längsschiene. Bei den bisher vorgeschlagenen Sperrvorrichtungen mußte der Auslösehebel während der Dauer der Verschiebung des Sitzes von Hand festgehalten werden, bis die Endstellung der Verschiebung oder die Arbeitsstellung wieder erreicht war.
