Description

Process for deboning raw silk or fabrics containing raw silk, especially in the presence of acetate silk. It has been found that raw silk can be deboned in a simple and gentle manner by treating it with acids in the presence of sulfated oils, fats or fatty acids which are resistant to these acids and, if necessary, soap on it. Since this treatment does not have a damaging effect on acetate silk, it can also be used successfully for mixed fabrics that contain this fiber in addition to silk. Example i A fabric made of silk and acetate silk is treated for 2 to 3 hours in the liquor ratio i: qo at about 50 ° C. with a solution which, depending on the thickness of the bast, contains 5 to 15 ccm of concentrated hydrochloric acid per liter. and 1 contains 5 to 25 g of an acid-resistant sulfated oil. It is then rinsed and soaped on a fresh bath for 1 to 2 hours in a liquor ratio of 1: 4o at 6o to 7o 'with 1 liter of Marseilles soap. After the soaping, it is rinsed again and dried. Example e A fabric made of silk and acetate silk is treated for 2 to 3 hours in about 25 times the liquor at about 80 ° C. with a solution which, depending on the thickness of the bast, q. contains up to 5 cc of glacial acetic acid and 2 to 3 cc. of any known sulfated oil resistant to acetic acid, then rinsed and soaped on a fresh bath in the same liquor for 1 to 2 hours at 60 to 70 ° C in a solution that per liter Contains 1 to 3 cc of a sulfated oil and 5 to 10 g of Marseilles soap. After your soaping, it is rinsed and dried again.
