Description
Underwind device with chambers located below the grate The invention relates to an underwind device for grids, in particular for traveling grids, which makes it possible to use inferior, wet fuels with good results on cheap Way to burn. In the case of underwind firing, the arrangement of underwind chambers is known per se below the grate. It is also known individual zones of the grate Supply air mixed with flue gases. Deviating from this, according to the invention Alternate chambers or nozzle pipes under the front part of the grate, which flue gases or lead under wind. The chambers under the front part are expedient of the grate with one end to a duct leading to flue gas and with the other At the end it is connected to a canal leading downwind and can be shut off. The back part the grate is only fed under wind.
This underwind device works in two different ways from under wind, which in the chambers or nozzle pipes located under the grate are blown in separately. Compressed air is used to burn the fuel. To the The pressurized flue gases are used to pre-dry and heat the fuel, drawn in from one of the last flue gas passages of the boiler or from the fox which means preheating of the downwind and the purchase of an air preheater is saved. In the case of wet and poor quality fuels, it is often sufficient to use traveling grates under the wind not to work with downwinds from normal air temperature, because the fuel is wet would not ignite on the grate. You could use this underwind in an air heater preheating, however, the purchase and maintenance of one is often expensive. Burning wet, poor quality fuel with flue gases alone, is not economical because the flue gases contain relatively little oxygen and therefore relatively large amounts of flue gases for burning the fuel would be necessary so that the combustion temperature may not be reached could be. Mixing of the downwind with smoke gases in the Chambers or nozzle pipes below the grate do not lead to satisfactory combustion results to lead. On the other hand, by the method of operation according to the above invention, a very good success achieved.
The invention is shown in Figs. I to 5 of the drawing as an embodiment shown schematically.
Fig. I illustrates a longitudinal section through a grate with the Underwind device, Fig. Z an associated horizontal section. Fig.g shows one Longitudinal section through a nozzle pipe, and Fig. ¢ and Fig. 5 show an Ottoman section through a nozzle pipe.
Nozzle tubes b and c are located below the focal path a. The nozzle pipes b open in the wind box d, in which by a fan c out fumes sucked in by the fox f are pressed. The nozzle pipes c open into the Wind box g, into which air is pressed by the fan h. The slot width the wide nozzles i can be adjusted using slide k. The one on the grate itself Located fuel are supplied from the first nozzle tube b flue gases, which predry the same, so that the underwind coming from the second nozzle pipe c the combustion can already initiate. The coming from the third nozzle tube b Flue gases increase the temperature of the fuel lying on the grate in such a way that that he as a result of the emerging from the following nozzle pipes c underwind burns completely. Depending on the requirement, even more nozzle pipes b with flue gas supply can be used can be used.
Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal section through a nozzle pipe b or c with wind boxes d and g connected at both ends. The end openings of the nozzle tube b or c can be closed or opened by externally operated rotary flaps l. One channel d carries flue gases and the other channel g compressed air. If the rotary flap d in the flue gas duct d is opened and the one in the air duct g is closed, the flue gases can enter the nozzle pipe b or c, but not the pressurized air. If the rotary flaps L are operated in the opposite direction, compressed air enters the nozzle tube b or c. Such a flap arrangement makes it possible to feed the nozzle pipes b or c either with flue gases or with an underwind.
Fig.q. shows a cross section through a nozzle tube b or c shown in FIG. 3, one end of the nozzle tube being closed by the rotary flap L. The nozzle i is also closed by the slide k.
Fig.5 illustrates the same cross section of the nozzle tube as Fig. 4, only the end of the nozzle tube b or c and the nozzle i are open.
