Automatic filling device for the oil reservoir of lubricating devices
for motor vehicles The invention relates to an automatic filling device
for the oil reservoir of central lubrication devices, from which the outside of the
Engine lying lubrication points of a motor vehicle, e.g. B. the spring hangers that
Control, etc., are supplied with the required lubricating oil. In general
Lubricators are common in motor vehicles, from time to time
are put into operation and, as a result, have the disadvantage that their effectiveness
depends on the attention of the driver of the vehicle. However, they are
Central lubrication devices known, in which the promotion of the oil to the individual
Consumption points takes place automatically through the action of pressurized gases in the
The oil reservoir has constant effect on the lubricant. The replenishment of this container
usually does not happen automatically, but by hand by pouring the lubricant
into a filling opening, which makes special maintenance necessary and also requires,
that the compressed gases are first released. On the other hand, with a central lubrication device,
which does not work automatically with compressed gases, but the oil with the help of a pump
promotes to the consumption points, an automatic refilling of the supply in the oil container
sought to achieve that the oil from a higher open storage container
the central lubrication device simply fed by its own weight and through
a special device has ensured that the lower container has a
cannot be filled beyond a certain liquid level. The arrangement of a
Such elevated container for automatic refilling comes naturally in motor vehicles
out of consideration.
According to the invention, the automatic filling of the oil container
the centralized lubrication device working with compressed gases achieved in that the
Lubricating oil tank is provided with a switching device that controls the gas pressure
temporarily shut off and connects the oil tank to negative pressure. The oil reservoir
is for this purpose by means of a line with a suction and a pressure source
connected and in a manner known per se with one reversed by a float
Valve device equipped, which at a certain high and low of the
Oil connects the pressure or suction source to the container. The compressed gas line
is expediently provided with a valve, which the maintenance of a
Minimum pressure in the container roughening.

The oil tank a, which is expediently housed under the bonnet so that it is heated by the vehicle engine during operation, is on the one hand through line b with the lubrication points of the vehicle, on the other hand through line c with an oil reservoir, for example the lower part the crankcase of the engine ;; tied together. The line b has a check valve d at its end in the container, which ensures that only oil can be pushed out of the container a through the line b, but cannot be sucked back. On the line c there is a check valve e, which has the effect that oil can only flow into the container a, but not drain. The container itself is hermetically sealed and is still connected to two lines f and g, one of which is in connection with a vacuum source, for example the suction pipe of the machine, and the other with a compressed gas source, for example the exhaust line, or the compression chamber of a cylinder stands. A reducing valve can be arranged in the compressed gas line. In the container there is also a stop float lt, which is able to switch the double valve k with the aid of the spring tilting mechanism i. -The operation of the device is as follows: If there is enough oil in the container a, the tilt lock will be in its upper position o1 and keep the vacuum line f closed with the aid of the valve k. Compressed air or compressed gases can flow through the line g to the container a and will push the oil through the line b to the individual lubrication points. If the oil supply has been used up to such an extent that the anti-tilt mechanism i is transferred to the drawn position o = by the float h, the valve h is suddenly switched over, the compressed air line is closed and the vacuum line f is opened. In the container aw = ird vacuum will be created, and the container will fill up again with oil through line c. The anti-tilt mechanism is then switched over again by the float, and the process is repeated.
