Abstract
The pipe has preformed metal plate upper (1) and lower (2) shells, which are welded in a plane to form a collection space (7), into which individual exhaust gas pipes open. The collection space has a circular or oval cross-section with a funnel shape at the lower side connected to an exhaust opening (11). The exhaust opening of the collection space is connected to an exhaust unit or a catalyst (13) and has a smaller diameter than the catalyst.
