Description
Patent 1 113766).Process for the production of green, diluted in sodium sulphide easily soluble sulfur dyes. The production of green sulfur materials by treating leucoindoplienoistilfonic acids with alkali polysulfides in the presence of copper has been described in patents 135410 and 162t56. These Dyes are neither washable nor l; oche ^ _ht. A washable and boil-proof green sulfur dye was only produced according to the process of patent specification 59 5i9, namely from -a not very easily accessible starting material, your indophenoi from o, o'-dichloro-p-ainoplienol and ethyl-a-naphthylamine (see also American patent 113766).
It has now become the most technically important to us in terms of the information the patent specification 135 410 and 162 156 made surprising observation that one also to pure, green, easily soluble, washable and boil-proof sulfur dyes can get from very simple starting materials, if you look at the indophenols Alkvl or Arallcyl-a-naphthylamineii and p aminoph, -nolen, such as. B. the indophenol from: ethyl-anaphthylamine and p aminophenol, by treatment with salts of the sulphurous Acid into the sulfonic acids of i-alkyl or i-Arall <.ylamino - 4. - p '- oxyphenylnaphthy lamine and then heated with alkali polysulphides in the presence of copper.
Example. a7.6 parts of the indophenol from mono <ithylrc-iiaphthylamine and p aminophenol are suspended in 300 parts of water and 32.4 parts of a -. \ atrium bisulfite dissolving of .10 percent content gerfiliert a few hours until everything Indophenol converted into an almost white, slightly gray suspension of the new sulfonic acid is. The reaction can be accelerated by gentle warming. The resulting Monosulfonic acid of i-monoethylamino -. # - p'-oxyphenylnaphthylamine can be passed through Looks almost completely separate. You can use soda in a hot aqueous solution be converted into the also almost colorless sodium salt, which after any Filtration from your filtrate through common salt can also be separated.
The sulfonic acid of i-monoethylamino-4.-p'-oxyplienylnaphthylamine is slightly gray in color, it is rather difficult to dissolve in cold, somewhat easier in boiling water. Your sodium salt. , is in cold, but especially hot Easily soluble in water. Alkaline solutions change color. bluish red in the air.
Rg parts of the sodium salt are boiled down to 135 to 110 ° in a Polysulphide solution from 57 parts of crystallized sodium sulphide, ig, 2 parts of sulfur and 4.5 parts of vitriol entered. It is refluxed for a long time until the indophenol is no longer detectable or until dye reproduction is not possible more takes place. The dye is acidified or blown out of its aqueous Solution deposited. When dry, it is dark blue, shiny copper Color, dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with blue, in dilute hot Sodium sulfur with a greenish blue color. The cotton dye does not require any further treatment pure green and resists boiling alkaline soap solution.
The amount of alkali polysulphide, the ratio of sulfur and sulfur sodium, the temperature of the melt can be varied within fairly wide limits. Furthermore, the baking process can be used up to a temperature of 180 to 185 degrees without affecting the color tone of the dye.
