Oval serving or roasting platter, so-called roasting pan. There are among the
Household and hotel dishes, oval serving and roasting plates, so-called roasting pans,
known whose handles lie in the direction of the longitudinal axis. These roasters are
made of cast iron,. Iron sheet, copper, aluminum, nickel or nickel-plated iron are made.
-The current way of attaching the handles has several disadvantages.
For the first time, the handles overflow and require roasting or baking ovens
the stove, etc. too much space, in contrast to round dishes, for the real thing
only the space of the corresponding square is necessary. Also is in the arrangement
the handles in the direction of the longitudinal axis a pouring out of the liquid contents very much
inconvenient as the liquid flow is too wide.
In order to eliminate these evils should according to the invention the
Handles not in the direction of the longitudinal axis, but at an angle from it, e.g. diagonally,
be attached, which on the one hand saves space and on the other hand a pouring
the liquid content is made possible by the short ends of the dishes as it were

verfolgt. It has already been proposed to divide a vegetable cooker into several departments
to subdivide for the purpose of simultaneous decoction of different types of vegetables. Since the
individual
Members of the cooker, each one for itself, from the total cooking pot
are to be lifted out, this is done by means of articulated joints
attached handles that are offset from one another because they are not arranged differently
to find space in the round cooker. The parts of the total cooker
form sector-like deep pots and not shallow bowls or bowls that are whole
Other purposes serve uni with the peculiar arrangement of the handles for other purposes
tracked.
In Abb. i bezeichnet a das ovale Geschirr und b, b die dazugehörigen
Griffe in bisheriger Anordnung.
In Fig. I, a denotes the oval harness and b, b the associated handles in the previous arrangement. The rectangle c around the dishes in dashed lines indicates the space that the dishes occupy on the stove or in the roasting tube.
Soßen) leicht ausgießen läßt.In Figure 2, d shows the oval harness with the two handles e, e in
new arrangement. In the same way, the dashed line with f is the rectangle
denotes, which takes the dishes with the new handle arrangement. It's through
mere comparison shows that the rectangle in Fig. i is considerably larger than
the rectangle in Figure 2. As already indicated above, the handles are not here
attached in the longitudinal axis of the crockery, but offset from the longitudinal axis,
whereby, on the one hand, the dishes take up less space and, on the other hand, spouts
g, g are formed, from which the liquid contents of the dishes (e.g.
Sauces) can be poured out easily.
