Typenmagazin, bei dem die Typen durch Kanäle entsprechend der Entnahme der jeweils vordersten allmählich hindurchwandern. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Setzen und Ablegen von Schrifttypen (Drucklettern), die wie die bekannten Vorrichtungen dieser Art vornehmlich dem Zweck dient, dem Laien beim Arbeiten mit kleineren Druckmaschinen (Bürodruckmas.chinen, Typendruckern) die Arbeit des Setzeis und Ablegens zu erleichtern. Bei diesen Vorrichtungen, insbesondere soweit sie mit schrägliegenden Typenkanälen arbeiten, sind die Typen jeder Buchstabenkategorie in diesen so gelagert, daß die Längsachsen, der Typen mit der Längsachse des Typenkanals einen rechten Winkel bilden, also mit der ganzen Fußflache aufsitzen. Beim Setzen der Schrift wird jeweils die Type am Ende des Kanals nach oben oder unten mit der Hand oder mechanisch abgestreift oder auf eine solche unter .ihrem Eigengewicht fallen gelassen, und zwar dadurch, daß beim Festhalten der vorletzten Type die Unterstützung unter der jeweils letzten entfernt wird.
