Abstract
Description
The present invention of a "device for rescuing from Sinking of threatened ships "is the basis of the task a ship at risk of water ingress or other To prevent watercraft from sinking. D. H. at least on the To keep water surface. The economic importance of this Rescue device is primarily used in Cabin boats to be predicted in motor and sailing yachts. Yachts the z. B. in so-called bottom lakes or in stony shallows leak, can with the device described on the Water surface are maintained, d. H. it will be in individual cases Values from approximately one hundred to over two hundred thousand Germans Get Mark. In principle, however, it can also apply to other Watercraft are used.
The principle is one by sinking water from sinking to rescue the threatened ship in such a way that One or more balloons are inflated inside the ship prevent the ship from sinking due to its buoyancy. The Indian The term balloon used in the present application is understood as Generic term for a flexible shell that is inserted Includes gas volume. The shape of this cover can be any e.g. B. in the form of a hose. This is e.g. B. in a filigree Volume advantageous by a multiple spiral Air hose can be filled.
These balloons are space-saving in normal ship operation folded together. If the balloons with a water ingress When they are filled with gas, they unfold, leaving the ship's interior completely or at least partially filled by the gas balloons and are therefore unusable during an emergency. The The ship's crew must therefore respond in the event of an emergency Enter deck.
Crucial for the function of the described device is: that there is enough space inside the ship for the balloons, a sufficiently large one according to the weight of the ship Buoyancy can be achieved. The following is for a typical embodiment demonstrated.
In Fig. 3 the floor plan and the side view of a typical sailing yacht (Comfortina 35 ) is drawn to scale. The data sheet of this ship (see p. 138 of the magazine: Yacht, 23, Nov. 94) shows a weight of 5.4 tons. In FIG. 4, the balloons 17 , 18 , 19 and 20 to be inflated in an emergency are drawn into the ship rooms 13 to 16 (see FIG. 3), which have the base areas of 2.1; 3.1; Fill in 2.7 and 2.9 square meters. In the above-mentioned ship rooms there is at least 1 meter clear height above the beds and tables, so that the total of the balloons of at least 10.8 cubic meters results with the above-listed areas, the sum of which is 10.8 square meters. The calculated balloon volume is therefore sufficient to prevent the underlying ship, which weighs 5.4 tons, from sinking in the event of water ingress.
