Die Erfindung betrifft zunächst eine Spaltmaschine für weichelastisches Flachmaterial, insbesondere Leder, mit folgenden Merkmalen:The invention first relates to a splitting machine for soft elastic flat material, especially leather, with following features:

- b) es ist eine beim Spaltvorgang mindestens im Schneid bereich am Flachmaterial angreifende Vorschub- und Führungseinrichtung vorgesehen, die sich wenigstens teilweise über die Arbeitsbreite erstreckende und jeweils an einer ersten bzw. zweiten Oberfläche des Flachmaterials angreifende erste und zweite Abstütz und/oder Transportmittel umfaßt;b) it is at least in the cutting process during the splitting process area on the sheet material attacking feed and Guide device provided, which is at least partly over the working width and each on a first and second surface of the Flat material attacking first and second supports and / or means of transport;
- c) die ersten Abstütz- und/oder Transportmittel haben wenigstens teilweise eine Formsteifheit, die mindestens in Richtung quer zum Flachmaterial kleiner als die Formsteifheit der zweiten Abstütz- und/oder Transport mittel ist.c) have the first support and / or means of transport at least partially a stiffness that at least smaller than that in the direction transverse to the flat material Stiffness of the second support and / or transport is medium.
The invention further relates to the use of a gap Machine according to one of the preceding claims for relief split, in each case at least one piece of flat material in together with a stencil covering its surface area a thickness distribution according to a given spatial Has relief structure, between support or transport is passed through, as well as a corresponding Relief splitting process and associated stencils of special training.
Splitting machines of the type mentioned at the outset are generally known from industrial practice and from the literature. As far as the technological background of the present invention is of interest, the circumstances of an example of such a splitting machine are indicated on a larger scale in the accompanying FIGS . 1 and 2 in a horizontal side view and in a section of a horizontal front view.
In the machine, a continuous web 1 is formed with a feed or inlet area 1 a of flat material 2, here preferably leather workpieces. The inlet area 1 a is located on the top of a support table 6 , the front edge of which extends to just before the cutting area 4 of the machine, which extends over the working width 3 . Here the splitting process takes place by means of a splitting knife 5 which, for. B. is designed in the usual way as a closed over drive or deflection disks 8 revolving band knife. In principle, however, other knife designs are also possible, e.g. B. double band knives with two adjacent, each ground on one side single band knives or rigid, ruler-like splitting knives with an oscillating drive.
As far as a distinction is indicated, in the following ( Fig. 3) the flat material supplied in the infeed area 1 a of the continuous path as "raw material" 2 a, the workpiece present after splitting as "useful material" 2 b and the material separated as "chip " 2 c denotes. The latter can optionally be used again as raw material for a further splitting process or several of these. At the splitting knife, the continuous path is divided into an upper section 1 b for the useful material and a lower section 1 c for the chip.
For the splitting process, a feed and guide device 9 is provided in the cutting area 4 , which has a support and / or transport roller 9 a and 9 b, respectively, which acts on the lower and upper surfaces 11 a and 11 b of the flat material . About the support table 6 , the flat material is advanced with its front edge into the inlet gusset of the rollers 9 a, 9 b, so that it is gripped by the rollers and is non-positively conveyed into and through the cutting area for the splitting process. For this purpose, the rollers are coupled to motor drive means 7 , in the example according to FIG. 2 via drive shafts 7 a and 7 b. The lower roller 9 a is resiliently mounted as a unit on a resilient support device 15 .
The splitting process, as takes place in the machines of known type will now be explained with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, which show a detail of the cutting area 4 with the rollers 9 a and 9 b in a larger scale, namely Fig. 3 in a sectional plane transversely to the roller axes and Fig. 4 in a sectional plane along the roller axes.
As shown in Fig. 3, raw material 2 a with the raw thickness A is fed through the support table 6 and divided by the gap knife 5 into overhead useful material 2 b with the useful thickness B and a chip 2 c with the chip thickness C. For the necessary production of defined dimensional relationships, one of the rollers - here the upper roller 9 b - is designed as a rigid roller, while the other roller - here the lower roller 9 a - is designed as an elastic roller and has a jacket 19 made of flexible, solid material into which which can impress excess flat material with regard to the effective thickness B. Accordingly, the useful thickness B is substantially equal to the radial distance from the rigid roller 9 b between the cutting edge 5 a of the splitting knife and the surface of the rigid roller 9 b.
In Fig. 3 in full lines the running condition is shown in the cutting area, wherein the leading edge V is the sheet material in the region of the greatest pressure between the mutually facing roller crests. A later run-through condition with useful material 2 b running up and chip 2 c running down is indicated in dashed lines.
At this point there are two main operating criteria for perform a satisfactory splitting process:
First, the distance X of the cutting edge 5 a measured from the undeformed surface of the elastic roller is in many cases to be set relatively to as small as possible. This applies in particular to the case where the chip thickness C is desirably small or even disappears due to the material, in order to ensure that there is still sufficient pressure between the flat material and the rollers for reliable feed transport. This case is also important for the task of producing a workpiece of approximately constant, but as large as possible usable thickness from leather with a naturally changing raw thickness, ie in terms of the usable thickness the thickness of the thin areas of the leather should be as little as possible.
Secondly, the tangential distance Y between the cutting edge 5 a and the area of greatest flat material pressure, ie the area between the facing roller crowns, should not exceed an optimal but always relatively low value depending on the application. This is necessary to ensure a safe radial guidance of the flat material in the area of the cutting edge of the splitting knife.
Now shows the practical representation in Fig. 3 that in the running-in state of the flat material in front of its leading edge V due to displacement of the jacket material of the elastic roller inevitably a protruding bead W is formed over the undeformed upper surface of the elastic roller, the profile of which collides with the cutting edge 5 a. This means an immediate cutting of the splitting knife into the jacket of the elastic roller, ie for its damage and destruction. This could only be countered by increasing the setting male X and Y, but for the reasons set out in essential areas of practical use with regard to mandatory conditions is inadmissible or undesirable because of the required product quality. Moreover, even after overcoming the running-in state, the beads W1 and W2 formed outside of the cutting area by material displacement on the jacket of the elastic roller often have a disruptive effect on a low-friction and reliable material.
Furthermore, Fig. 4 shows that displacement beads W3 of the jacket of the elastic roller are also formed on the side edges of the continuous flat material, which inevitably lie in the region of the cutting edge of the splitting knife and lead to the knife being cut into the roller jacket. This source of interference is also difficult to load due to the choice of setting of the splitting knife, often not at all.
Compared to this prior art, the object of the invention the creation of a splitting machine for soft elastic Flat material, especially leather, which is wide Area of application, high operational reliability and the like Achieving product quality also enables creation a corresponding application for relief splitting as well a relief gap process and associated templates.
The solution to this problem according to the invention is determined with regard to the splitting machine by the features of Claim 1, with regard to the application by the features of claim 20, with regard to the splitting process by the Features of claim 21 and with regard to the relief gap template by the features of one of claims 22 and 24 to 27 or according to meaningful combinations of these Expectations. Essential and advantageous developments of Invention are determined by the features of each subordinate claims or by combinations of these Claims.
A main inventive step is according to claim 1 the arrangement of first support and / or transport means, especially an elastic roller, which in contrast to the known, only with a coat of incompressible Fully elastomer material provided rollers are volume compressible Elastomer material in the form of an essential function Has elastic support element or more of the same. This measure prevents the formation of bulges when pressed in of flat material in elastic rollers and similar supports and / or means of transport largely, as practice has shown generally even avoided completely. So that's the fundamental way to solve the invention task.
The first developments of the invention relate to the material Selection for the volume-compressible elastic support elements. For this purpose, a volume-compressible elastomer is preferred material into consideration that has a hardness in the range between about 20 and about 55 Shore-A, preferably in the range between about 25 and about 40 Shore-A. It is also recommended here the use of a volume compressible elastomer materials, one on a flat surface with 50% compression measured mean volume modulus of elasticity in the range between about 40 and about 115 N / cm², preferably in Range between about 50 and about 90 N / cm². Good results were especially made with elastic support elements from one achieved gas-containing elastomer material, preferably from Materials with a matrix of rubber or polyurethane.
The invention is further elucidated with reference to the in the Illustrated embodiments illustrated, the also illustrate features essential to the invention.
Fig. 5 shows in a representation corresponding to Fig. 3 first support and / or transport means 10 a with a rotatably mounted in the cutting area, radially deformable elastic roller 20 , which has at least one layer of substantially volume compressible elastomer material, in this example one inner cladding layer 35 made of such material. With particular advantage, several such cladding layers can optionally be provided, which, for. B. graded different deformation and / or compressibility modules and / or are connected by intermediate layers with different elastic properties. Also of essential importance is the roll construction shown here with an additional, relatively thin outer jacket layer 30 made of essentially volume-incompressible elastomer material, which preferably also has a comparatively high tensile modulus of elasticity. Under certain application conditions, this can make a significant contribution to bead prevention and also enables high wear resistance and good non-positive properties of the roll surface compared to the flat material to be transported - regardless of the material selection for the volume-compressible roll area.
The overhead second support and / or transport means 10 b are provided with an abutment roller 60 which, in relation to the underlying first support and / or transport means 10 a or the elastic roller thereof, is essentially radially rigid and essentially rigid over the length of the roller is and with respect to the elastic components of the first support and / or transport means essential, preferably at least in a ratio of about 4: 1 thinner outer jacket layer 65 made of elastomer material, in particular one without substantial volume compressibility. This jacket layer also enables high wear resistance and good adhesion properties of the roller surface compared to the flat material to be transported, as well as improved flat material pressing when passing through transport-critical thin points.
The jacket layers 30 and 65 of the first and second support and / or transport means preferably have the same coefficient of friction.
The example according to FIGS. 5 and 6 shows the invention applied to the known columns with a relief template. Flat material pieces or webs, preferably leather workpieces, are brought to pass as raw material together with a relief template S or several of them. This results in an overall raw thickness A, which is generally highly variable over the workpiece surface, with the problems already explained. Accordingly, the bead suppression is of crucial importance here. As shown in FIG. 5, the formation of a bulge projecting beyond the undeformed roller circumference due to the suitably chosen volume compressibility of the outer layer 35 is completely avoided even in the particularly critical running-in state at the material leading edge V. In addition, can now, as shown, the cutting edge 5 a of the splitting knife practically in contact with the undeformed circumference of the elastic roller (correspondingly vanishingly small dimension X in Fig. 3) and with a significantly lower tangential distance dimension Y from the roller crown. In this respect, the problems and disadvantages that occur with the known are also overcome.
The overhead rigid roller 50 is placed during the relief splitting so that the relief template - as shown in Fig. 5 - can not come into contact with the cutting edge 5 a.
The sandwich of relief template and workpiece coming out of the inlet gusset relaxes up to the cutting edge 5 a of the splitting knife. The band knife cut separates the outgoing workpiece into leather workpiece L and chip 2 c, which nestle up and down on the roller jacket 30 + 65 and therefore do not bump against the front edge of the upper knife guide 5 b or the lower knife guide 5 c.
A particular advantage of the invention in this context is that the cutting edge can be adjusted precisely on the knife-side stencil surface without interference from bead formation. The useful thickness B then corresponds - as shown in FIG. 5 - to the maximum template thickness.
This in turn has the consequence that up to the effective useful thickness 0 of the inserted flat material, ie sharp-edged material profiles, can be produced by relief gaps, as indicated in FIG. 5 at B1. This can also be achieved in particular on inner contours that run out fully or closed (e.g. on perforated contours) or on narrow inner arches or on slots on the outline of workpieces. These cannot be achieved when sharpening on the sharpening machine due to the width of the guide stop.
Such problems exist everywhere in leather processing, e.g. B. in the manufacture of shoes, leather goods and leather furniture. It goes without saying that the problems and disadvantages described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4 for simple flat material splitting (without a template or the like), in particular as explained with reference to FIGS. 5 and 5 for the particularly difficult relief splitting, all the more reliably also can be overcome for difficult applications in the area of simple splitting.
One for the practical trouble-free feeding and passage of a splitting machine operation key of the invention consists in the fact that the second support and transport 10 b having an opening formed in particular as a rigid roller abutment roller 60 which engages the flat material in friction-fitting drive connection with the pass-through Drive means is operatively connected. This offers advantages over the usual drive of the elastic roller. In particular, this enables a construction according to which the first support and / or transport means receive an elastic roller that at least at times is free-running and comes into passive drive connection with a continuous flat material. As a result, in the desired case, the at least approximately the same circumferential speeds of the interacting rolls due to effective frictional engagement compensate for different roll speeds and thus avoid shear stresses on the sheet material passing through. As indicated in Fig. 2 purely schematically in the region of the drive shaft 7 a, this is achieved in an advantageously simple manner in that the elastic roller of the first support and / or means of transport is coupled to the continuous drive means by a forward-releasing freewheel 17 . Such freewheels are well known per se and therefore do not require any further description. However, it should be emphasized that the use of such a freewheel in the present context is foreign to the prior art and is not one of the otherwise known features of the illustration in FIG. 2.
In Figs. 7 to 10 of the invention are shown of fundamental importance.
The developments of FIGS. 7 and 8 are common to that of FIGS . 5 and 6 that the first support and / or transport means 110 a or 210 a have at least one elastic support element 120 or 220 arranged in the cutting area substantially fixed to the frame , which consists at least partially of volume-compressible elastomer material.
In the development according to FIG. 7, this elastic support element is in turn configured as a radially deformable elastic roller 120 rotatably mounted in the cutting area with at least one layer of volume-compressible elastomer material, but in contrast to FIGS. 5 and 6 with at least one closed peripheral guide or conveyor belt 150 , which runs between the elastic roller 120 on the one hand and the flat material continuous path 1 or the second support or transport means 10 b on the other.
Transportband 150.In the development according to FIG. 8, a closed revolving guide or transport belt 150 is also provided, which, however, runs between the elastic support element 220 on the one hand and the flat material passageway 1 or the second support or transport means 10 b in conjunction with an elastically supporting and guiding element 220 , which is arranged in the cutting area in a fixed and stationary manner in the cutting area and which consists at least partially of volume-compressible elastomer material. What is also important in this embodiment with an elastically supporting and guiding element 220 which is fixed to the frame and at rest is a low-friction sliding surface 260 for the guiding or transport belt 150 by suitable means known per se.
For the latter two further developments, the guide or conveyor belt 150 suitably consists at least partially of essentially volume-incompressible material.
In the developments according to FIGS . 9 and 10, the elastic support element of the first support and / or transport means 310 a or 410 a is designed as an elastic band 320 which can be deformed transversely to the plane of the flat material passing through the cutting area. This elastic band comprises at least one elastic layer 335 made of volume-compressible elastomer material and at least one base layer 330 of comparatively high tensile strength and tensile stiffness in the longitudinal direction of the band. In the cutting area, the elastic band runs on its surface facing away from the flat material via at least one support and guide element or drive element 350 or 450 . The support layer 330 is expediently arranged on the strip surface facing the flat material. Different for both further developments is the design of the support and guide element or drive element, namely as a support and guide or drive roller 350 which is mounted essentially fixed to the frame in one case and as a stationary support and guide element 450 with at least one which is arranged essentially fixed to the frame Sliding surface 460 for the elastic band 320 running over it in the other case.
Figs. 11 to 13 illustrate the preparation and use of a template for relief columns, especially in conjunction with a novel process according to claim 21.
Referring to FIG. 11, in an open, flat-box-shaped hollow body 500 the cavity of which corresponds to the outline of the stencil to S, a sample workpiece or model 510 inserted. Then, in the protruding mold cavity 520, an elastomer material that can be poured and hardened in the raw state is introduced, which in the hardened state has a visible or translucent nature. A silicone rubber is preferred.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the template is provided with a partially transparent and / or translucent reinforcement 530 , preferably in the form of a fabric or braid reinforcement. As indicated in FIG. 11, this reinforcement is inserted into the mold cavity 520 before the elastomer material is introduced. Alternatively, if the elastomer material is already inserted into the mold cavity 520 , the reinforcement can be placed on the upper side of the still liquid elastomer material so that it is encased or covered flush with it.
After curing and lifting the elastomer material, the finished template S shown in FIG. 12 results. This can now be done according to FIG . B. in an inventive, only partially indicated splitting machine having first and second supporting and / or transporting means 10 a and 10 b as well as splitting blade 5 flat piece of material raw 2 are processed together with a suitable pre-machined in outline, with which by removal of the chip 2 c results in the leather workpiece L corresponding to the relief of the template or model.
As indicated in FIG. 12, according to further developments of the invention, a plurality of locking surfaces 540 which are adhesive but non-adhesive with respect to the flat material surface can be arranged at a mutual distance within the flat material support surface F of the template. This results in a secure, but easily detachable fastening of the flat material to the template in an advantageously simple manner. For the same purpose, a non-adhesive adhesive layer comes into consideration, which extends at least partially over the template area determined by the outline of the workpiece to be produced.
The liability is effective throughout the entire process Reliefspal th, so from placing, aligning and pressing the workpieces - flat material 2 on the relief template S on the top of the support table 6 with the relief side up, when turning and feeding the sandwich of relief template and flat material- Workpieces, when passing through the cutting area with splitting off the chips 2 c and when the sandwich runs out of relief template S and finished relief-split leather workpieces L, when turning over this sandwich and detaching the leather workpieces from the relief template.
Furthermore, it is advantageous for the rational and error-free gap operation to provide the surface of the template opposite the flat material support surface with a non-adhesive or sliding-friendly texture or a corresponding coating, which prevents the template from running out of the cutting area at the second surface 11 b of the second support and / or transport means 10 b adheres, that is, the template does not detach itself despite the curvature of the roller surface. For example, this can be achieved by means of a suitable surface treatment of the template.
According to a Wei also belonging to the subject of the invention training is carried out within the flat material support surface a relief template a multiple arrangement of each bounded relief areas formed. This results in larger ones Machining units for continuous relief splitting with high Rationalization progress. Especially for gap processing tion of shaft parts of a pair of substantially outlined congruent, but with respect to their surfaces mirror symmetry Trisch bordered relief areas arranged on a template become. Especially for applications in leather goods and shoes industry, it is useful to have a plurality of relief areas, those to be worked on together, especially with each other workpieces to be connected are assigned on a template to arrange. A variant of this embodiment provides a plurality of formed as a separate template body Relief areas by means of a common, flat support unite body into an overall template.
