Verfahren zur Zerlegung von Teeren bzw. Teerölen in Pechstoffe und Öle ohne Destillation. Es ist vor-eschla-en, Hochtemperaturteer, Schwelteer und ähnliche bittiminöse Flüssigkeiten bzw. Anteile derselben durch Behandeln mit organischen, nicht aromatischen Lösungsmitteln, wie Benzin u. dgl., von Pech-bzw. Asphaltstoffen dergestalt zu befreien, daß die durch die Behandlung entstandenen pechähnlichen Ausscheidungen abfiltriert bzw. in üblicher Weise getrennt werden.Process for breaking down tars or tar oils into pitch substances and Oils without distillation. Dieser Mißstand läßt sich gemäß vorliegender Erfindung beseitigen, wenn man vor der Behandlung der teerigen Flüssigkeit iiiit den oben beschriebellen organischen Lösungsmitteln dieselbe am Rückflußkühler kürzere Zeit auf Temperaturen, die mehr oder weniger über 6o' liegen, erhitzt. Vorhandene Asphaltbildner polymerisieren dabei unter Asphaltbildung, so daß bei der nunniehr- nach der Abkühlung auf die jeweils benötigteTemperatur erfolgenden Behandlung mit dem Lösungsmittel die gesamten Asphaltstoffe abgeschieden werden (d. h. sowohl die ursprünglich vorhandenen als auch die in demAusgangsmaterial lediglich als Asphaltbildner vorkommenden Peclistoffe). Die einfache Erhitzung am Rückflußkühler läßt sich beschleunigen, wenn man während dieser Temperaturbehandlung dauernd oder auch nur zeitweise kleine Mengen Wasserdampf durch die Flüssigkeit durchleitet.
