Horizontal chamber furnace for the production of gas and coke. With the lying ones

uses or if a flue gas dilution is provided for the high-gas heating,
in order to adapt the overall proportions of lean gas heating.
i 5 mm Wassersäule.
Richtung beaufschlagt. One has now already (cf. the American patent specification 1374546)
proposed a furnace design in which the flue gases of one half of the wall are not
into the other half of the wall, but via the distillation chamber
away from the adjacent wall half of the adjacent heating wall.
With this type of construction, the individual heat accumulators or regenerators
Longitudinal partitions are provided. Since on the one hand this io to i i
m long and 3 m high wall gases rise upwards, on the other side gases rise downwards,
this creates large differences in tension, in the order of magnitude of 8 to
i 5 mm water column. There are also the stone sections in the lower part of the heat accumulator
expand considerably less than the walls standing on them, they call
Expansions, cracks or looseness in these partition walls, with which the exchange,
which should be prevented, but occurs. In addition, the individual heat storage chambers
so narrow that they are inaccessible. There is a need to check the walls
so you have to remove one of the walls at the same time as the lattice stones in order to be able to do so
to get to the second wall.
According to the invention, a
Group of the famous Koppers; Furnaces with individual heat storage through in the ceiling
connecting ducts at right angles to the furnace chambers are connected in such a way that
that jelveils several walls are heated upwards, while the flue gases of this
Group can be led downwards through as many neighboring walls connected in parallel.
In this way you get z. B. only a single longitudinal partition wall for every eight ovens
within the heat accumulator, which is claimed in such a way that on the one hand
The gases rise upwards on the side and downwards on the other side, always a
There is negative pressure on the chimney side. The individual heat accumulators are based on this

connected furnace chambers are all equally and simultaneously in the same
Direction applied.

In the drawing is an embodiment of the inventive concept
in Fig. i in cross section, in Fig.2 in the basic xiss. Fig.3 shows

the heating wall.
The distillation chambers of the individual ovens are in a known manner
