Abstract

The invention relates to an arrangement and a process for reducing the water consumption in WC flushing cisterns. The object of the invention is to reduce the water consumption in WC flushing cisterns. This object is achieved by a two-chamber flushing cistern, it being possible for the chamber volume in each of the two chambers to be different, but also the same. The installation of regulable main valves does not rule out this system and is advantageous. The two chambers are connected to one another via a connecting duct with a valve in one flow direction, with the result that either flushing water only flows out of one chamber - and thus only some of the entire water quantity is used - or, via the connecting duct, when the connecting valve is opened, the flushing-water quantity present in the two chambers is used. The advantage of this flushing cistern consists in that the water requirement for the flushing operation can be restricted and water can thus be saved.

Description

The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for reducing the Water consumption in toilet cisterns.

In general, water consumption in cisterns is due to the amount of water stored certainly. This can be done by regulating the water level or by Cistern size can be varied. It is between 6 and 9 liters. When pressing the The entire cistern contents flow out during the flushing process.

In recent times, adjustable shut-off valve designs have become known, which are characterized by a Interruption of the rinsing process any limitation of the amount of rinsing water enable. Absolutely necessary intermediate quantities can not be easily dose so that a defined water saving, especially when the Washing process by children is not given.

The invention has for its object to show a technical solution with which Water consumption in toilet cisterns is reduced.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a two-chamber cistern, the Chamber volume can be different, but can also be the same size. The installation adjustable Main valves does not exclude this system and is useful. Both chambers are over a connecting channel with a valve connected to each other in a flow direction, so that either only rinse water flows from one chamber - and thus only part of the Total water volume - or via the connection channel when the connection valve is opened the amount of flushing water available in both chambers is included.

Die Erfindung soll nachfolgend an Hand der Fig. 1 bis 3 beschrieben werden:The invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3:

Fig. 1:
Fig. 1:
The cistern consists of the container 1 , the lid 2 , the partition 3 , the connecting valve 6 , the main valves 7, 8 , the actuating switches 9, 10 with an externally different size, the water inlet 11 for the total amount of water m ges and the openings 12 for one Hose connection for the variable water supply (right, left) in the cistern.

Gesamtwassermenge mges. The switching state shown is such that both chambers are filled with water 4, 5 and no main valve is actuated. At the bottom is a common water outlet for the partial (m₁, m₂) or total amount of water m tot .

Fig. 2:
Fig. 2:
This switching state represents a small water withdrawal, which is initiated by actuating the externally smaller actuation switch 9 .

The main valve 7 is opened and the amount of water m₁ only flows out of the chamber 4 . The total water flow is m tot = m₁. The neighboring chamber 5 remains filled because the connection valve 6 remains closed. After the chamber 4 has run dry, it is filled again via the water inlet 11 .

Fig. 3:
Fig. 3:
This switching state represents the withdrawal of the total amount of water in which the externally larger actuation switch 10 is actuated to open the main valve 8 . The water flows out of chamber 5 . Due to the lowering of the water level, there is a height difference h between the chambers 4 and 5 , which causes the connecting valve 6 to open automatically and thus water can flow from the chamber 4 into the chamber 5 . The total water flow is m tot = m₁ + m₂. After both chambers have been emptied, they first flow into chamber 4 via water inlet 11 . As the water level in the chamber 4 rises again, an h to the chamber 5 arises, so that the height difference causes the connection valve to open automatically, thus ensuring that the chamber 5 is filled.
