Counterpropeller for aircraft. The present invention relates to a special embodiment of a counterpropeller control in aircraft, in which, on the one hand, to increase the stabilizing and steering effect, and on the other hand, for the purpose of good retention of the counterpropeller blades, especially when controlling the device already known in watercraft, use is made of the blades of the counterpropeller at their outer ends or close to the same by a completely or partially circumferential annular surface or jacket. Especially in the case that the entire counterpropeller can be swiveled. is set up, a not inconsiderable increase in the control effect is achieved by such a jacket, in that it directly deflects the combined screw flow as a whole. But even with a fixed counterpropeller with articulated control surfaces on its blades, an improvement is achieved, since when the rudder is turned the propeller flow is less displaced and therefore hits the control surface with greater intensity. Figs. R and 2 show an embodiment for the case of a rotatable only about a horizontal axis = counterpropeller, so that by pivoting it, a height control is achieved, while the side control is achieved by a control surface linked to the vertical blades of the counterpropeller. It denotes a the fuselage, b the wing of a four-tension-free monoplane, c the propeller, d. side hulls supporting two counterpropellers, e the counterpropeller mounted between these and f the rudder. The actuation of the latter could be effected in such a way that cables are guided through the horizontal main blades of the counterpropeller and its axis of rotation. g is the ends of the present invention. The ring jacket connecting the blades of e, which, grasping the propeller flow, acts like a box rudder when the counterpropeller is swiveled. It goes without saying that the axial width of the shell g is not tied to the width of the blades of e; it can also be smaller or larger than this. The jacket can also deviate from the circular shape, in that it is given a polygon shape for the sake of simplicity or better stiffening. If necessary, individual or all of the blades can also be continued somewhat on the outside beyond the casing. In the example shown with the side rudder hinged to the counterpropeller, the casing g also provides good lateral stiffening of the vertical blades of e carrying the rudder. The innovation is therefore particularly advantageous both for the present case with a counterpropeller pivotable about a horizontal axis and a rudder that is hinged to the vertical blades and for the case of a rudder that can be rotated about a vertical axis for the purpose of lateral steering. Counterpropeller with height control hinged to its horizontal blades, but of course also for a completely fixed counterpropeller with directly hinged height or rudder control. The jacket g also forms a certain protection under certain circumstances, giving damage to the blades of the counterpropeller when landing.
bei um eine wagerechte Achse schwenkbarem Gegenpropeller handelt. In diesem.Falle;
verbunden.Except for the example drawn, the subject of the invention can of course
also used for any differently designed aircraft or airship gondolas etc.
will. In certain cases the same can be simplified in the manner
that the coat only partially revolves, so z. B. an open polygon or just two
Strain of such represents, z. B. if it is only about supporting the height control
when the counterpropeller is pivotable about a horizontal axis. In this case;
are of course only a part of the blades through the relevant peripheral surfaces
tied together.
