Abstract

The method and device for multivalent signal capture, processing and evaluation can be used for automated machine and system monitoring. The aim of the invention, while observing a minimum expenditure on devices, is to implement a maximum range of specific diagnostic tasks on machines and systems, to make expenditure on maintenance finally more effective. The object of the invention is to integrate various diagnostic methods in only one single method, without having to increase the expenditure on devices greatly, but to make many fields of use possible, and thus to implement technical diagnostic methods so that they can be called, on the basis of available basic circuit components. Two computers are linked to each other. According to the method, the way the object is achieved is that all the diagnostic algorithms and output data which are necessary for a diagnostic task are stored in the main computer A. By the transfer of the diagnostic algorithm which is relevant to the chosen diagnostic task, at least the signal capture part and the associated output data, to computer B, computer B's circuits are structured so that the corresponding signal paths are activated, i.e. modules of computer B are reversibly linked in a significant way by circuits, so that finally the specific program of the transferred diagnostic algorithm is completed.
