Abstract

The offset inking mechanism is for a machine with a hard printing block, and has an application roller (5) running at the same speed as the hard block (3), clamped to a cylinder. The application roller has a rubber blanket (10a), pref. glued to a steel base (9), with its effective dia. the same as that of the hard block. Each blanket has a total thickness of 1.5 to 4.5 mm 4.5 mm, and a hardness of 60 to 80 Shore.
